  • 2 Samuel 19 - Audio

    15/07/2009 Duración: 01h04min

Without strong leadership every kingdom collapses. This is true both in the literal physical sense, and the spiritual sense. Husbands and fathers who don't lead their home in the power of God's Spirit are more likely to see their families crumble, and their marriages teeter on the brink of disaster. After the death of David's son, Absolom, we saw that David had mourned for him greatly. As some of the men see that David is wavering in the strength of his leadership, the people began to be ashamed, and feel disgraced. Pastor Ryan teaches on 2 Samuel chapter 19.

  • Luke 14 - Audio

    12/07/2009 Duración: 01h16min

Do you know that Jesus has the best possible life for you? Do you realize that in Jesus you find meaning, purpose, and fulfillment? Do you understand that trying to find your identity apart from Jesus will only lead to discouragement, despair, and finally, destruction. Jesus said that He came that we might have life, and have it more abundantly. When you don't have these things, the thing that is keeping you from these is the fact that Jesus is calling you to forsake all in order to embrace these promises. Pastor Ryan Couch preaches on Luke chapter 14, and the life that is only found in Jesus.

  • Luke 13:22-35 - Audio

    05/07/2009 Duración: 42min

In an effort to be at peace with all people and religions, many will say that all roads lead to God. This is as foolish as saying all roads lead to your house. When Jesus was asked if those who are saved will be few, he responds by saying that there will be many who will try to enter, but they will not have entered through the narrow gate, and the master will say, "I tell you, I do not know where you come from. Depart from me, all you workers of evil!" As pastor Ryan teaches through our text, he presents the gospel in a very clear and direct manner. This recording was done during our church in the park, July 5th.

Because Hushai prevailed in his advice, Ahithophel knew that it would only end poorly for himself, so he got his house in order and hanged himself. As chapter 17 finishes out, we see the Lord providing for David and his company through faithful friends who desired to minister to them.

  • Luke 13:1-21 - Audio

    28/06/2009 Duración: 43min

It is in our sinful nature to compare ourselves to others, and to claim that the misfortune of others has come upon them as a form of punishment from God. In our text, Jesus dispels the myths about the Kingdom of God by explaining what the Kingdom is really like. We learn that God is longsuffering in his patience; He is not limited by man's legalism. His heart is for people, not for establishments, and his Kingdom truly works in the seemingly simple ways, but it spreads in such a way that it can only leave people wondering how something so foolish in their eyes could could so powerful.

On his way out of the city he runs into several different people, each with different agendas. Even in the midst of all the chaos, David still seeks to be a good king, and deal with people wisely. Elder Frank Sanchez teaches.

  • Luke 12:35-59 - Audio

    21/06/2009 Duración: 01h01min

What are you living for? What drives you? What is the passion of your life? There are really only two answers to that question. One answer is that you are living for your kingdom, your agenda, and your passions. The other answer is that you are living for Jesus' kingdom, Jesus' agenda, and Jesus' passion. If you are seeking God's kingdom, then all of the other things that you might want or need will be added to you. However, if you are seeking your own kingdom, not only will you not find what you're looking for, but you'll miss out on the kingdom of God.

  • 2 Samuel 14-15 - Audio

    17/06/2009 Duración: 01h02min

It has been a few years since David's son Absalom killed his own brother, Amnon, for raping his sister, Tamar. The consequences to David's sin that were told to David by the Lord were now beginning to snowball. Absalom has been in exile from the king, so Joab concocts a plan to manipulate David into reconciling with him. As Pastor Ryan teachers through 2 Samuel 14-15, he points out the effects that sin has, and the consequences we can face simply because sin is destructive.

  • Luke 12:1-34 - Audio

    14/06/2009 Duración: 58min

What does it mean to be a disciple of Jesus Christ? As Luke writes his gospel account, he does so to show what it looked like to be a disciple of Jesus. In Luke 13-1-34, Jesus teaches against hypocrisy. He addresses the issue of hypocrisy, then deals with its sources. As disciples of Jesus, we should leave no place for hypocrisy within us. As Jesus teaches his disciples, we see three things that disciples don't do: 1. Disciples of Jesus aren't fake 2. Disciples of Jesus aren't greedy 3. Disciples of Jesus aren't worriers

  • 2 Samuel 13 - Audio

    10/06/2009 Duración: 44min

When the sin within our own heart goes unchecked, it is only a matter of time before we begin to act upon that sin. As we get into chapter 13 of 2nd Samuel, we find out that David's children had a lot of issues. David's son, Amnon, is in love with his half sister, Tamar, so he devises a plan to rape her. Upon fulfilling his plan, he no longer loves her, but hates her. Her brother Absolom hears of the matter and devises his own plans for revenge. All the while, David, though angry about what happened, behaves as if he's completely powerless to do anything about it.

  • Luke 11:14-54 - Audio

    07/06/2009 Duración: 57min

We are all called to be on mission for the sake of the gospel. How well we understand that determines how effective we are in that mission. Understanding that the greatest danger to the spread of the gospel is really christians who have dismissed the stuff the bible does say about sin, and replaced it with what it doesn't say. The world sees this and says, "Why should I listen to you?" As Jesus is performing miracles and proclaiming the kingdom, he is faced by religious opposition that cares nothing for people, and only for self-imposed legalistic rules and regulations. In our text we are challenged with Jesus' words to the religious leaders of His day.

  • Luke 11:1-13 - Audio

    31/05/2009 Duración: 01h58s

For most Christians, being a doer is a little easier than being a worshiper. We find ourselves relating more to Martha, who was busy serving, than to Mary, who was sitting at Jesus' feet. So when we come to Jesus' model prayer, most of us, if we're honest, have to admit that we have a hard time praying. As Pastor Ryan breaks down, what is commonly referred to as "The Lord's Prayer", we discover the way to pray for things according to God's will, and His heart, and we cease the practice of simply giving God a run-down of the events of our lives.
