  • Ride Bikes Radio 42: 36c to F

    01/08/2018 Duración: 34min

Joined by listener Danyelle from Canada this week as a special treat. We have a great conversation talking about upgrades, how cool it is to work in a bike shop and how much we both dislike the smell of pot. Finally, what not to do when drinking, including not signing up for a triathlon! So, all in all, a pretty rounded show. If you are wondering what else she listens to, Danyelle really likes the Trainer Road Podcast for lots of great information and tips. I did notice a bunch of you last week caught the show over on Facebook because I didn't get it into your feed correctly. In case that is your default, remember, the hot tip is to subscribe on your mobile computer device that way you get the show automatically!

Lots of shout-outs to all y'all for sticking with us and kicking ass with your rides! Besides that, my N+1 struggles, a little beer and what those numbers on my Strava rides actually mean. Thanks to Richard W. in Texas, again, for the great show art! If you want me to feature your bike, tag us on Instagram or Twitter (we are @ridebikesradio) and I'll make it happen!

Bonus show, kinda, for you guys this week. In our attempt to back on track, someone had to double up, and I picked RBR, so you have that going for you, which is nice. In this week's episode, I tease Brian for needing a larger saddle (and possibly a trike) after that 200 mile ride he did last month, then we both get up on the RBR soap box for a bit of ranting about professional cycling and safety. We did base these on a few stories, here are the links. Sammy Sanchez Doping Get Cops to pay attention to your ride videos New Belgium Brewery buys Magnolia Brewing Plus a few (ahem) beers for us to talk about for you guys. So yea, big show this week. Brian lays down some good rules to follow for us about this too and I have a few tips (links below) for kit and snacks. But, the big reason we are talking today is because Brian rode a double century! That's more than 200 miles (or 322km) and he did that in a single day! He gave us a recap of his experience that I think you guys are going to enjoy listening too. And you know we are going to be talking more about this in upcoming shows for those of you that are looking to get into riding some larger miles! Finally, check out album art!
