Ride Bikes Radio

Joined by listener Danyelle from Canada this week as a special treat. We have a great conversation talking about upgrades, how cool it is to work in a bike shop and how much we both dislike the smell of pot. Finally, what not to do when drinking, including not signing up for a triathlon! So, all in all, a pretty rounded show. Since I have been guilt shamed into making another show twice on Instagram and once in person by Tom from Philly, I have made a show! New show to finally get 2018 started! We have both been off to a slow start, but a trip through the Strava Club shows us that you guys definitely are not! We are also pretty excited to have over 100 of your in there, which is super rad! Only 1 news story this week (Uber is doing dockless bike sharing) before we catch you guys up on everything happening on our end. More details about that to follow. Also, cool stuff planned, so be sure to stay tuned! Oh, and this is what it looks like to get hit by a kangaroo.

Ending the year here at Ride Bikes radio. 2017 was pretty awesome for us and we hope it was equally awesome for you! The Cranksgiving edition of Ride Bikes Radio. It's Thanksgiving here in the states and Brian broke his crank with his massive Hulk-like thighs, so happy Cranksgiving! We are back! Finally! After spending a month getting pianos dropped on our head, Brian and I are finally able to start making a show for you guys, talk about bicycles, like we like to do. Getting back to it, another update from the Strava Club and some news that we think you guys might find interesting. A new 'give cyclists 3 feet' sign in Colorado Washington States Named the Most Bike Friendly State, and Brian calls shenanigans NY City declars war on e-bikes Specialized teamed with BMW to make this stunner This years Red Bull Rampage course is insane! Thanks for you patience gang. We are back on track and will continue to be on schedule until our Christmas break. Should also have some information on merch for you guys next week or the week after that as well!  

A quick update for you to let you know that we aren't dead, that we will be making a new show next week (!) and that you are awesome for making the Strava Club such a great resource for the every day rider and being a part of it! As I mentioned, we will be making a brand new show for you guys next week! Also, expect to hear more about decals the 1st or 2nd week of November! Bonus show, kinda, for you guys this week. In our attempt to back on track, someone had to double up, and I picked RBR, so you have that going for you, which is nice. The Double Century WOW! What a week here at Ride Bikes Radio! Let's start off with some updates from the Strava club where 68 of you clocked over 2400 miles this week! Nicely done! Also, be sure to check out the conversations happening over there, inluding the latest one about chain maintenance. Brian lays down some good rules to follow for us about this too and I have a few tips (links below) for kit and snacks. But, the big reason we are talking today is because Brian rode a double century! That's more than 200 miles (or 322km) and he did that in a single day! He gave us a recap of his experience that I think you guys are going to enjoy listening too. And you know we are going to be talking more about this in upcoming shows for those of you that are looking to get into riding some larger miles! Finally, check out album art! New show, post 4th of July here in the states and we get right to it with tips on getting your poutine fix in the US. Then, Brian catches us up on his bike drama of late and his ongoing preparations for the upcoming Seattle to Portland ride. A quick update to the Strava Club, where you guys and gals are throwing down huge miles. HUGE!!! Keep it going gang! Brian gives us a quick update on the Tour and I ask about riding in a group and share a story from last weekend. A short show this week, but still a lot of show in there for you guys.  

We are back, finally, with a new show for you fine ladies and gentlemen. It's been pretty hectic over here, hence the delay. Starting off with a look at the Strava club, which is a very strong group! To make the top 10, you need to be riding over 115 miles per week! HOLY CATS!!! Plus, Brian tells us about his upcoming crazy rides. He is going to ride the STP in 1 day (!!!) and the RSVP. If you are planning on riding either of these, be sure to let us know, Brian will need someone to share the crazy with! An update on where you guys are coming from to listen to the show and I'm proud to say, now that we have completed our first lap around the sun, we are, officially, world famous! Thank you! We finish with Brian giving us some tips on changing a tire because I really suck at it, getting schooled by dudes on recumbant bikes and a beer update. We will be back on schedule.
