Rift Overcast

In this week's episode of Overcast, Matt and Joe discuss some recent interviews with Scott Hartsman, some of the info touched on during the Infernal Dawn livestream that went down on Tuesday, as well as express some concerns about some of the apparent new directions Trion may be taking for the game over the course of the year. We go over Trion's plans for the PvP endgame, how to make PvP more competitive, as well as touch on the impact patch 1.8 may have, and lots of great tips and information for new players looking to break into the prestige game.

With Cameron still out sick, Joe and Matt duo-host once again. In this week's episode we share an exciting announcement for the show and shed some tears for the death of the Support role as well as brainstorm how to bring it back to 5 man dungeons. The community's distaste for the Mercenary system seems to have increased. Some players have even boycotted the system apparently! Also, our characters are quickly acquiring better and better gear, bringing us that much closer to Master Modes. All two of them. Wait, there's only two? Doh!

In this week's episode we're short one host, as Cameron is currently sick. However, Joe and Matt go over some of the player concerns regarding the new patch and the upcoming changes with patch 1.8, including Infernal Dawn. Joe also has a theory as to why High Elves have the animation they do.
