Bob Warming joins the show this week to talk about his brief retirement form Penn State and his decision take over the program at Omaha after his protege, Jason Mims, took a position with Real Salt Lake. Warming talks about his relationships in the coaching ranks and also his core belief in how to make a college soccer program relevant. 

Coach Brian Rowland joins the CSN podcast to talk about his experience as a youth player in Canada and his decision to come to the United States to play collegiately at UMBC. Rowland shares how his combination of experience as a top player, goalkeeper, international student, professional and assistant at one of the top programs in the country has him well prepared to attract top players and thrive at Temple. 

Coach Kevin Kalish talks about taking over his hometown college team team and his alma mater, Saint Louis University. Kalish talks about how he used to write down practice plans even as a player as he prepared to for his future profession, and the lessons he learned as an assistant and head coach at SIUE. He sheds light into his decision to move away from the college ranks to serve as Vice President and Missouri Boys Club Director for St. Louis Scott Gallagher, and ultimately the return to the college sidelines at SLU. Kalish also gives a brief update on the team through the spring and expectations for the program for this season and going forward. 

This week's guest is the head coach at the University of The Pacific Ryan Jorden. After building a powerhouse at the Division II level, Coach Jorden decided to take the challenge of building the Tigers program from scratch. Just three years later, the Tigers made the NCAA Tournament and are off to another strong start this season.

In this week's episode, Coach Rensing talks about his team's solid start that is due in large part to the experience he brought back from last year's team. Coach Rensing talks about the back line and the team as a whole in contributing to the stout defense that is allowing under three shots on goal per game, and also some players who will try and help him find a few more goals. He talks about the challenges of the Big Ten schedule (and other non-conference games), as well as the unique opportunity to coach at his alma mater.

We go a slightly different direction for today's show as we welcome Chris Grosse, Georgetown's Assistant Athletic Director For Marketing. Grosse has come up with a few different promotional events that have gotten national attention, including his latest: "Millenial Day." Grosse talks about that promotion as well as the role college soccer programs in an athletic department. 

North Carolina's Cam Lindley joins the show to talk about his path to the college game. Lindley played multiple sports through high school and turned down professional opportunities on multiple occasions because of the ability to get an education and playing time that the college game offered. Cam also gives his assessment of the Tar Heels for 2017. 

Coming off a record-breaking season that saw him score 22 goals, Florida Gulf Coast's Albert Ruiz talks about coming to the United States to continue his soccer career, his progression as a player and his thoughts on this year's team.

SIUE head coach Mario Sanchez talks about the success of the program in his first two seasons, including a run to the Sweet 16 last year. Coach Sanchez also talks about the move to the MAC and what he likes about this team (experience) and what concerns him (schedule). 

Rising senior Mo Thaw of Louisville talks about coming to the United States from Senegal at the age of 15, and all of the adjustments that went along with that, but how soccer helped ease the transition. He also talks about the injury that forced him to go the junior college route, and how he's thankful to the coach who gave him a scholarship without ever meeting him. From there it's on to Louisville, where Thaw had an immediate impact last year for the Cardinals scoring 12 goals and earning All-ACC first team recognition. He talks about the ups and downs from last season and what he's looking forward to in 2017.

Portland head coach Nick Carlin-Voigt joins the show to discuss the Pilots' remarkable turnaround in 2016 that included the West Coast Conference title and a berth in the NCAA Tournament. Carlin-Voight talks about his path as an assistant coach all the way to the job at Portland, and how he helped turn around the program that won just three times the previous season. 

New Marshall University head coach Chris Grassie talks about his move from Division II to Division I, and why the transition isn't as different in soccer as it is in other sports. He talks about lessons learned as a head coach, and his approach to recruiting and his goals for the Thundering Herd.

New NC State coach George Kiefer tells about his move from South Florida to NC State, including the recruiting tactics the Wolfpack used to help lure him and his family. He talks about the significant value of the ACC and the expectations of the program both near and long term.
