  • Episode 24 - About PAX

    31/03/2010 Duración: 01h12min

I just got back from the Penny Arcade Expo in Boston this weekend. As a result, there's really only one thing worth talking about. I decided to bring on someone who has already had previous experience with the level of awesome that is PAX, Addam Kearney from Talking About Games. We get into his evolution as a writer for Talking About Games, the eternal struggle between Wolverines and Buckeyes and the paranoia of the Census. But ultimately our discussion revolves around PAX. We trade stories and experiences from our time spent in Boston and Seattle respectively. There's a lot of geek to go around on this one. This week I'm joined by cupcake savant, Dana Lewis to talk about Diet Coke, Cupcakes (of course), Alabama football, and of course the power of social media. She has found a way to leverage twitter into a weekly forum to discuss the prospects, impacts and importance of social media in health care. Who knew that 140 characters at a time could be so meaningful. Come for the #hcsm, but stay for the gluten free cupcakes. I've been told that I am one of the busiest people in podcasting. As busy as I am at times, I can't hold a candle to Manny Hernandez, founder of TuDiabetes.org and EstuDiabetes.org. Members of the Diabetes Online Community know who Manny is and more importantly how hard he works each day to strengthen the community. Along with TuDiabetes he is hard at work with his Non-Profit Organization, the Diabetes Hands Foundation. Our discussion focuses primarily on the community and his various projects. As you will hear, he is a very busy person. Enjoy.TuDiabetes can be found at http://tudiabetes.org. Also known as Phoenix410, Marc is a co-host of the Post Game Report (of which I also co-host) and has generated an enthusiastic following with his personality. This episode features a rare look at the Man behind the Mallet as we discuss the Talking About Games community, his unique approach to podcasting, Beyonce and much more.
