I breathe a sigh as I think of the wonderful talk that Tyler and I shared this afternoon... He is not only an incredibly talented musician but he shares his full self with all of us... his beautiful creative self. Tyler began performing professionally as a young child and was classically trained to both play and sing incredibly. With unbelievable challenges along his path he has learned to flow and has chosen the path of a true healer...he has looked within and emerges as a teacher and inspiration for us all. Prepare to be moved to tears on this one... aaaah the love...

Tonight we talk with Kris Mikesell. Kris is a respected Teacher and advisor at Marysville Getchell Future Business Leaders of America High School. She shares with us their innovative concept of incorporating curriculum that not only improves students skills as potential business owners but also helps them to build the confidence to go out into the work force. We discuss the ongoing events that support the program and get everyone ready for this Saturday's Holiday event fundraiser at the school. I sure would have loved a program like that when i was a kid! Tonight we talk with 4th Generation Pilot and and Aerial Photographer Rob Lanyon. Rob's authenticity and kind heart comforted my spirit. I was so moved by Rob's positive life views and wisdom. 

This week i was living with a couple chips on my shoulder about people in my life that i was just certain were snubbing me or had their own selfish agendas in mind. In both circumstances i was proven completely wrong! I had this whole story built up around them in my head and it was really a painful one! It was through helping a friend to work through some issues that I was able to see my own illusions more clearly.... tonight i am feeling so grateful to take a look at how much pain my thoughts can cause me. woohoo!!! Tonight we have the pleasure of getting to know Cascade Valley hospital buyer Heather Logan. Heather is lighthearted and wonderful and it is no surprise that she has recently been awarded Art advocate of the year by the Artlington Art's council. This week a friend's son was studying the Declaration of Independence in school and she was struck by some of the phrases and how they applied to our current political climate.  Tonight we take the time to revisit that powerful document so that we might carry these values into our modern lives. These are not outdated principles.  We discuss the power we have as individuals and our collective power through community. Our voices matter, our neighbors matter, we are all interconnected and sometimes indepencence from tyranny comes from recognition of that fact.  I am also looking forward to reading some articles from our wonderful friends at wakeup-world.com So looking forward to it!!!  Monica Today :)
