Psalms 92:13 (KJV) “Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God..” It is important to be permanent in the house of the Lord. In this message Reverend Lindsay starts a new series on “Reasons why you must be a permanent member of the church “. Why is it important to be a permanent member first because you are part of a family. We are brothers and sisters of the first son Jesus and our Father God reigns. We are also a building, like every building block is important for the structure and steadiness of the building. It is also important to be a permanent member because we are part of the garden.God is beautifying us and flourishing us when we are planted in His house.  Let us be permanently attached to our Lord God and keep ourselves firmly planted in the house of the Lord and reap all the blessings He has for us.

In Philippians 2:4(KJV) “Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.” In this special International Sunday Service Reverend Lindsay preaches an anointed message about “Others”. God’s mind is full of man. Jesus thought about others, He came for you and I. Often when we wake our mind is full of ourselves not concerned with the well-being and the needs of others. We have the ultimate example of living for others. Jesus didn’t come for himself, He loved us so much that He came and died for us. That He may come and reside in our hearts and change us from our fleshy selves to righteous Christ-like beings. Thinking of others and not just ourselves. Let us allow Jesus to live in us and transform our lives to love and care for what He does. 

1 Corinthians 15:10 (KJV) But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.   In this message  Reverend Lindsay preaches a powerful message about “Hard Work and Church Growth”. Grace is undeserved favor. Life is about the combination of grace and hard work.  It recognizes the blessings God has given us and utilizes them to the fullest. You say you have grace but let’s see it through your hard work.In Ecclesiates 5:3a the Bible says “a dream comes through the multitude of business”, hard work is needed in  all aspects of life including ministry. It takes hard work to become a good christian. Romans 12:11 (NLT) the Bible says “Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically”. Take up a part in the growth of the church and utilize the gifts God has given you.    Let us work diligently with the grace we have been given by our God!

In Psalms 73:28 (KJV) “But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord God, that I may declare all thy works.”    In this message Reverend Lindsay introduces a powerful week ahead in a “Come Alone” week. This week will be filled with personal waiting on God. Taking time to pray alone, meditate alone, listen to messages, read the word and even fasting as God leads for yourself. Seeking God and desiring to be fully in His presence with no distractions.   May God strengthen us and reveal marvelous things throughout the week as we commit ourselves to Him!!

In Acts 28:30-31(KJV) says “30 And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him,31 Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.”   In this message Reverend Lindsay starts the new message on “How Laypeople Have Helped the Church to Grow''. A Lay person is someone that keeps their secular job and works in the ministry. Some of our favorite Bible characters did the work of the Lord freely without being paid. The disciples recruited congregation members to assist the pastors with building the church. If you have skills, you should be using them in the church. Congregations often wrongly feel that the work of the church must be done by pastors and shepherds only. It’s not just the work of one person; it’s the work of the whole congregation.   Let us all be encouraged to use our gifts in service to our God to build His House!

In this final message regarding offenses Reverend Lindsay concludes the topic “How to protect yourself from being offended”. There are some key things you must expect in order to protect yourself from being offended. You must expect an experience of pressure and trouble; don’t let it offend and affect you.Trouble teaches you something, don’t let it make you bitter but make you better.  Expect purging in your life, that takes away negative tendencies. Endurement comes first then enjoyment. Expect hatred from the world, even without cause. As well as expect persecution and rejection.   With this in mind, let us ask God not to allow offense to make us bitter but to make us better and stronger!

In this message Reverend Lindsay continues with part 4 of the message series on offenses. He continues to go through “ How to overcome Offenses”. We learned last week that we must expect offense especially from those closest to you and even in the church. We must learn to forgive quickly and not allow the offense to take root. Decide not to revenge. Don’t use short-term emotions to make long-term decisions. Offense can have lasting consequences if we let it. Make sure to walk in love and pray for those who have offended you.    Offense is root to an evil tree, let us not bear its fruit and walk in forgiveness and love constantly.

In this message Reverend Lindsay continues with part 3  of the messages on offenses. He preaches the titular message Offenses: How to Overcome Them.We have been learning the certainty of offenses being present in our lives and how they are weapons of satan. So how do we overcome them? First we expect offenses in the church and ministry. Remember we all  are imperfect people serving a perfect God. Expect offense from those closest to you. Closeness can breed familiarity and not cherishing one another so offenses may arise. When offenses come, acknowledge it! Let go of offenses and see how beautiful your relationships will be.    Let us ask God to help us prevent offense and overcome them when they arise!

Matthew 18:7 (KJV) “ Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!”   In this message Reverend Lindsay continues the message “Those Who are Offended”. Offenses are an eventual part of having close relationships. When you are offended problems occur and relationships are difficult to have. It is important to remember your relationship is at stake when you are offended. The next door after offense is sin, so don’t allow it to take root. Offense is a great weapon of satan that he uses to trick people and divide God’s children.    Let us not react to offense and seek God as our comforter not offense.

Matthew 18:7 (KJV) “ Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!”   In this message Reverend Lindsay preaches a powerful message entitled “Those Who are Offended”.  There will be offenses, as we just learned in Matthew 18:7 it is inevitable. There are several results of offense and the results often build on each other when you let offense take root. Offense brings hurt, which leads to anger then hatred and resentment. Offense makes it hard to forgive. We need to recognize offense when it comes and not let it grow in our life.   Let us root out any offense in us so it does not build and aim not to offend others!

Proverbs 3:9-10 (KJV) “Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: “So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.”    In this message Reverend Lindsay concludes the powerful series on tithes with the message “10 Things that happen when you Tithe”.  Tithing is honoring our creator God who gave all we have and need. We worship God when we tithe and respect Holy things. It is a  command to tithe and by doing so you are obeying God’s commandments. God is the source of all our blessings and every good and perfect thing comes from Him (James 1:17).   Let us honor our Father God with what He has given us and never cease tithing, it is our blessing!

Deuteronomy 26:12 (KJV) “When thou hast made an end of tithing all the tithes of thine increase the third year, which is the year of tithing, and hast given it unto the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within thy gates, and be filled;”   In this message Reverend Lindsay continues the message “ Why God established the Tithe”.  God is so good to us using this form of giving as the ultimate blessing for us. God established the tithe so you can enjoy the 90% after knowing you’ve given 10% to God.It is our  legal form blessing. The tithe has so many functions including helping pay for pastors, helping take care of the needs of the helpless, and even tests our obedience to Him. Tithing is a command that reaps infinite blessings if we submit it generously and cheerfully to our God who gave us all we have.    Let us give our tithes joyfully and take part in the special blessing God has for us!

Deuteronomy 26:10 (KJV)  And now, behold, I have brought the firstfruits of the land, which thou, O Lord, hast given me. And thou shalt set it before the Lord thy God, and worship before the Lord thy God:   In this message Reverend Lindsay preaches a powerful message on “Why God established the Tithe”. God established the tithe for his people to show gratitude to Him.Tithe is a gratitude test. It is not just an old testament tradition but a chance of blessings for those who give it. God established the tithe for people to remember where God has lifted them from. It is a prayer of thanksgiving. When you give tithes you are showing your trust in God.   Let us be encouraged to take part in the blessing and see God continue to lift you when you trust in Him with everything!

Luke 10:42 (KJV) "But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her."   In every church there are two types of people: the Marthas and the Marys. In this message Reverend Lindsay preaches about the “One Most Needful Thing”. In this story about 2 sisters Martha and Mary we learn an important truth, there is one most needful thing and knowing and serving our God. Sometimes we come to church, and it’s about everything else except pleasing the Lord. Marthas are distracted, Marys are focused on what’s important.We need the word of God to function in this life. The word of God is good, it is a seed, and it is power!   So let us focus on what truly matters, knowing and serving our creator God. Will you be a Martha or a Mary?

“But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.” ‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭3‬:‭18‬ ‭KJV‬‬ In this message Reverend Lindsay continues on with the 7 Great Principles on Spiritual Growth. As believers we need to ask ourselves this important question. Do I have the Spirit of Christ or of the World? In other words, assess yourself and determine whether you are born again, have you received the Spirit of God, and are you growing in the Knowledge of God. Failure to recognize these truths leaves you at the risk of not walking in the statutes of God or being a doer of the Word. We will learn that until we have the Spirit of God in us we cannot go into Heaven, The Spirit of God cannot come into us until the blood of Jesus has cleansed us and if we are not born again then our Christianity is useless. We will learn practical ways in which we can successfully grow spiritually to the maturity stage of a Christian. So let us listen to this anointed word of God an

1 Peter 2:2 (KJV) says, “ 2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby”   In this message Reverend Lindsay continues on with the 7 Great Principles message. Man is a spirit, has a soul and lives in a body.  Man is a spirit! Without the spirit, we’re just dust! The body is never born again, that is why we fall into sin. We must truly be born again. Once you’re born again, you belong to God. After this process, your spirit is a baby and needs to grow in order to function in this world. Your spiritual age is not determined by how long you’ve been a Christian, it is measured by maturity. In the baby stage you need the word of God, prayer and fellowship to grow. This stage requires intentionality.   Let us seek God wholly and grow in Him daily. Our spirit desires growth and that is found in God!

1 Thessalonians 5:23 says, “And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”   There are 7 Great Principles of Life in God and in this message Reverend Lindsay preaches about 3 of the 7. Man is a spirit, has a soul, and lives in a body. We are of our forefather Adam, clay or dust. Without the breath of life from God, we are but dust.. The body is temporary, what is eternal is our spirit. The spirit of the unsaved is dead and wicked. And the spirit of a saved man is righteous and truly holy.   Have we experienced a heart change? Are we more concerned with our body than our spirit? These are questions we must ask ourselves to truly say we are spirit minded and born-again!

Colossians 1:27 (KJV) “ To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory” In this powerful resurrection Sunday message, Reverend Kodwo Orleans-Lindsay preaches the message, ‘Christ in the You the Hope of Glory'. It is not about Christ being in those around you or your church, it's about Christ being in you!. Christ in you is your value; this causes mountains to move and demons to flee. Without Christ we have no hope in glory. Glory is eternity with God in heaven and restore us God’s creation to destiny. Hope is expectant knowledge of what is to come. We need Christ to settle in our hearts and give us the spirit back. Let us open our hearts to our redeemer and savior. Christ is knocking at the door, will you open it ?

In Luke 5:32 (KJV) “ I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”   In this message Reverend Lindsay continues the series on “Others”. He preaches about the “7 Things Jesus did for Others that we must do”. Jesus lived for others, his sole purpose on this earth was for others.  Jesus loved others, he came to serve others and not to be served as it says in Mark 10:45. He died for us all and thus we have hope in salvation and eternity with God our father. Let all that we do point to all that God has done for us. When we speak to others, let us speak for Christ.    So let’s listen to the powerful message and ask ourselves with Jesus Christ as our example “What can I do that I am not doing for others?”

Philipians 2:4 (KJV) “ Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.”   Others need Christ! This message is that others must be on our minds. In this message Reverend Kodwo Orleans-Lindsay preaches a powerful message on “Others”. We must be concerned with others. God commands us to live humbly concerning ourselves with the needs of others, serving them, and using the blessings we have received to bless others. Reverend Lindsay goes over the four things that we must remember about others. Others need Christ, they need a shepherd, they must hear the Good News, and they have many problems.   Let us not be selfishly-minded only concerning ourselves with only self. Let us go beyond thinking of others and then we will truly be blessed and live a fulfilled life.
