    In this segment we will be discussing women's health issues with Jennifer Johnson, Assistant Professor in the Nursing Department at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Professor Johnson has been a nurse for 14 years with the majority of her career focusing on the care of women and children, specifically in the field of public health. She is also a nurse practitioner since 2007. The southeastern region of North Carolina is a rural area with a large Native American population, as well as influences from Hispanic and African American cultures.
