We begin with some direct comparisons to Greta's 2019 version before diving right in to all things Winona Ryder and the rest of this truly excellent cast. Stay tuned for our episode on To All the Boys I've Loved Before, dropping in April! Happy New Year from the Radaptations sisters! In this very special episode, we kick 2019 to the curb while looking back on all of the titles we took on this past year. • Ep 36.5: I Still Know What You Did Last Summer

    28/11/2019 Duración: 49min

Grab your slickers, because Ben Willis is BACK! And this time he's bringing... his son? Named Will BEN-SON?! Yes, we're discussing 1998's I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, and while we promise not to spend too much time dissecting that nonsensical title, we make no guarantees about how much time we spend talking about Freddie Prinze Jr. in a henley (one of the only redeeming qualities of this film). Stay tuned for our annual retrospective episode out in January followed by our first title of 2020: Little Women! Keep in touch on Twitter @Radaptations, and be sure to check out other women-hosted movie podcasts in the Lady Pod Squad Network by following #LadyPodSquad.

  • Ep 36: I Know What You Did Last Summer

    31/10/2019 Duración: 01h17min

Happy Halloween! We're treating you to a scary episode in which we talk all about I Know What You Did Last Summer, both the 1973 novel by Lois Duncan and the 1997 film starring Jennifer Love Hewitt! Catch a glimpse of youth culture in the 70s from Duncan's book as we grapple with the Vietnam War, gender relations, and high school home economics requirements. You'll also be treated to a history lesson about the horror genre in the U.S., learning how I Know What You Did Last Summer sits squarely in the era of the slasher-revival. Of course, in true Radaptations sisters fashion, we get overly analytical and hypothesize what life would have been like for our favorite baddie fisherman had he successfully offed Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr. Stay tuned for our minisode out in November on the sequel, aptly titled I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, and be sure to check out other women-hosted movie podcasts in the Lady Pod Squad Network by following #LadyPodSquad.

In addition to our gushing about magical hot cop Kevin Garvey, we talk about what it means to grieve as a collective in the wake of a global tragedy. We get kinda deep here folks, but don’t worry—we find time to talk about Justin Theroux’s feral hog in a bit that you surely won’t understand unless you’re extremely on Twitter. Stay tuned for our minisode out in September on seasons 2 & 3 of The Leftovers, followed by a special Halloween episode on I Know What You Did Last Summer! And we’re bringing you some recasting options for a Jurassic Park reboot—Who looks good in aviators? Who can flirt with zero abandon in the Ian Malcolm tradition? Who can pull off both raptor expertise and knee-high game socks? Ginny then delivers a quiz about dinosaurs in popular culture before we share some of our favorite creature features. Of course, we have new entries for the ever-expanding Radaptations shared universe, and you’re not going to want to miss the sisters’ reactions as they each offer a deep cut. First thing is first: the t-rex can swim in the novel, ok? Now that we got that out of the way, we dissect everything about the book and the film, including Jeff Goldblum’s sexual energy, dinosaur poop, and who left all of those cakes and pies out in the buffet area?! But before we get there, Ginny takes a quiz on other fictional bears and their homes before we hear two new entries in the shared Radaptations Universe! • Ep 32.5: Pumpkin Butts

    21/03/2019 Duración: 54min

Wow—we’re bringing you a lot of NSFW content on today’s episode including a dramatic reading of scenes we wrote about men seeing themselves naked in a mirror in reference to all of the culture we have to sit through in which a male author describes women doing the same. Ginny says “wang.” It’s too much. We’re also bringing you a discussion about some of our favorite romance scenes in film before treating you to a new regular segment in which we build a shared Radaptations Universe among all of our titles! We cover a lot in this episode, include some Michael Shannon stuff despite Michael Shannon having nothing to do with this film. You’ll also hear Ginny call James Marsden a “hot little cow pie” and she means it a a compliment. Stay tuned for the end of the episode when Bridget reveals her best guess as to what Ginny is actually singing when she means to be singing The Power of Love by Huey Lewis.
