This week, we launch into an EIGHT episode month to hit you twice a week with cool interviews, music, and general fun and games with a TON of great guests who were all in attendance at the Winter 2020 NAMM Convention in Anaheim! Strength Level: The Marching Band This week, I’ve got the WONDERFUL pleasure delight of introducing you to this multi instrumentalist, this brass specialist, this fellow Silverlake Conservatory family member, and this all around great human man: MATT EVANS!! Matt is one of those guys that I’ve run into over the years, and I’m ALWAYS so glad when it happens. We had a few beers before this recording, and it was one of the first times we ever got to just sit down and chill, and it made me like him even more!

I’ve been looking forward to this week for months now, and I am fortunate to get to share so much of it with my dear friend and bad ass drumming colleague, Jeff. Jeff plays for Pete Anderson, the Rye Brothers, and many more. He runs a bad ass studio, is a founding member of DRUMSMACK TV, and in addition to being a true jack of all trades, is just a wonderful and sincerely kind man. I am pumped to share this person with all of you, hope you love him and all the music he brings to the table, and can’t wait for you guys to hear EVEN MORE from him during February’s MONTH of NAMM episodes!!! OUR PERSONAL THOUGHTS FOR YOU TODAY: I am SO FREAKIN EXCITED to be at NAMM 2020 this year doing interviews and harvesting content for this show. Strength Level: Sea Turtle Today’s guest is a living percussion legend of a man. The wonderful: LEDDIE GARCIA In addition to being an amazing human gentle man, he is a percussionist who has shared studio and stage time playing music with a seemingly never-ending list of musical legends like: Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan, Cindy Lauper, Gladys Knight, Macy Grey, Carlos Santana, Stevie Wonder, and SO many damn more. Leddie and I have played together a ton over the years, and it’s ALWAYS such a treat to get to hang. It’s also important to note that he is incredibly generous with his time, whether it is to volunteer in the community weekly, come give of his time freely to work with children, or even to come hang and do my whacky ass podcast!
