Discussing the destruction of the Whaleship Essex, the basis for the novel Moby Dick, we attempt (unsuccessfully) to chart the recent history of man's relationship with the largest mammals that have ever lived. Oh and also try and convince ourselves that big whales ARE paranormal, by involving Pinocchio for some reason.

Friday the 13th is upon us once again! We tell all about the unluckiest day in the calendar and, fittingly, we're talking Friday the 13th Part II. Where did the superstition come from? Why are people so scared of it? And why is Jason Vorhees so angry? Step into the world of the paranormal...

Frank Capra's festive Magnum Opus It's A Wonderful Life is 70 years old this December (21st to be specific). The film sees George Bailey, played by an absolutely on top of his game fresh face Jimmy Stewart, descend to the brink of suicide before being rescued by a bumbling, naive, and fairly consistently infuriating angel named Clarence. In honour of this, as well as discussing the legendary film itself, we will be addressing our winged pals the angels. Where are they from? What exactly are they... and what are they supposed to do?
