This week we are bringing you a super light and fun episode about ISIS! In this Clarification Episode we revisit the Alt-Right post-Yiannocalypse (did I just make that term up? Oh my gosh I'm a genius). We also clarify a few details about Obamacare which is weird since it's so easy to understand (please save me). By the way, the House Republicans unveiled their Obamacare repeal and replacement bill literally as we were recording this episode, but the stuff we said about it totally applies. We'll revisit that story as it develops!

Jamie's been hearing a lot about this "Obamacare" and he has some questions about it. What, exactly, is it? What were things like before Obamacare? Why do so many people want to get rid of it? Is "weed madness" a real thing? We also talk about the Canadian healthcare system, capitalism, and how numbers can obscure the larger concepts of justice and fairness behind health policy (don't worry, there are still jokes about buttholes). Instead of a Clarification Episode this week, we're debuting a new segment: ALT-RIGHT SAFARI! Accompany Jamie and Richard on a harrowing journey into the jungles of the Alt-Right. What strange beasts will they encounter? What monstrosities will they unearth? How many of these people have actually been touched affectionately by another human? In Episode 5, Jamie wants to know about the Alt-Right. What is their actual deal? Why do people keep calling them Nazis? What are all these incomprehensible things they're saying? What is an internet? Also, we dig pretty deeply into the concept of Free Speech, so this is almost like a two-fer right here.

In our second Clarification Episode we got a liiiiittle carried away making jokes and accidentally got added to a CSIS watchlist. Our bad, everyone! We also correct a few errors we made on electoral reform, talk a bit more about Standing Rock, and effusively compliment EITJ's Official Fact Checker, Anthony MacMahon. EDIT: Since this track was recorded, the protest camps at Standing Rock were officially shut down, and the Lakota Sioux are taking their battle into the courtroom. Sometimes the world moves faster than podcast-speed.

In Episode 4, Jamie wants to know what's happening at Standing Rock. Also, we stare directly into the capitalist void in our hearts and confront the inner voice that spurs us to profit from the misery of others. Also, we MADE A FRIEND!! In our clarification episodes we're revisiting past topics to add things that we wish we had said, or clarify things that we felt could be said better. Since we released two episodes last week, this first clarification episode deals with both of them! Also we christen our emergency Subject Change Airhorn which we'll almost certainly never have to use again. Probably. Maybe. Oh god I'm sorry mom.
