  • Giggleaide Paul Kitsis For Mayor

    25/10/2018 Duración: 19min

It's election season all across Adelaide, and after long deliberation we've finally found a political candidate we're willing to endorse (in addition to Mark Aldridge of course). For the City of Charles Sturt we will be giving our endorsement to Paul Kitsis. We were particularly won over by his eye catching flyer and his commitment to democracy. We should also point out that neither of us live in his electorate, we just think "you's" should all get out there and show him some love.    Check out his Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/VOTE-1-Mayor-Paul-Kitsis-Candidate-City-of-Charles-Sturt-2153414988260012/   #AdeLOL #heapsgoodhistory #AdeLOLLive #ComedyPodcast#AdelaideComedy #SAHistory #havealaughhaveaLOL #GibbsEmAGo #MakeCharlesSturtYousAgain

We'd like to that all the work the History Trust of South Australia and SA's History Festival have done to support us and further community awareness of SA History, and also Little Bang Brewing for just being absolute legends.

Mark's brilliant community work, care for animals, farmer's market and excellent deals on quality used vehicles truly make him a man of the people. Sure, he's made a few mistakes and enemies along the way, but what decent political candidate hasn't? Beer of the episode by Hobo Brewing, straight outta' Salisbury. Visit Mark's website today and join us on his campaign team next election. Vote 1 Aldridge & AdeLOL.

    05/04/2018 Duración: 54min

Following our live performance debut at the Adelaide Fringe Festival 2018, we decide to delve into the past of the Adelaide Fringe Festival. Established by artists who weren't deemed quality enough to be included in the Festival of Arts, it's the festival for literally anyone who has saved up a bit of pocket money to perform at, regardless of how terrible, offensive, or just downright lude their act is. So now you can see why it was a perfect festival to make our live debut. We look at some controversial shows over the years, and read some of the worst reviews that the 2018 Adelaide Fringe Festival had to offer. We'll see you at next years Fringe, but also stay tuned for the announcement of our next live show coming soon.

If you're only going to listen to one AdeLOL this year, be sure it's this one. This episode is adapted from, and barely scratches the surface of the book (which should be mandatory reading for all South Australians) "Out of the Box" by Julie & Marcus McSorley, who we thank dearly for their permission and assistance on this episode.
