Boss Dungeon Podcasts

This week we talk Bioshock Infinite (without spoilers), LucasArts closing and the always-online comments by Microsoft's Adam Orth. We also design THE BEST ASSASSIN'S CREED SEQUEL YET! There's a bunch of talk about localization of games too, so that's neat. Oh, and Marshall spoils The Force Unleashed II.

Warning: During the Metal Gear Solid V discussion we briefly mention a spoiler regarding the appearance of a character in Metal Gear Solid 4. On a very special GDC Episode of The Final Battle the crew is finally fully assembled once more to take on Metal Gear Solid V, Battlefield 4, the GDC Party controversies along with a bunch of other topics. We also have a super-special interview with a American bearded actor who was not brought on to play a leading role in a upcoming Japanese videogame sequel. WHO COULD IT BE!?

After talking about fighting multiple Jason Vorhees in a scrapyard for 30 minutes, our hosts talk about Yoichi Wada resigning as Square-Enix CEO and what that may entail. It all turns into a dungeon-crawling paradise as the hosts talk Etrian Odyssey's remake, Might and Magic X: Legacy and Legend of Grimrock II. All this recorded while Tobbii is super-tired in a hotel room with terrible wi-fi.

This week we talk about John Riccitiello signing off as EA's CEO, Tobbii manages to make Marshall excited for Saints Row 4 with a certain comparison and the hosts discuss how the Remember Me developers had to fight to have a female protagonist and how the industry is slowly bringing back classic CRPG's. We're also surprised by Dragon Quest X and Atelier news popping up mid-recordng, forcing Tobbii to go into editing-mode for a little bit leaving the podcast on Kem's shoulders, the new Lord of The Final Battle. Also! Tommy reads out his new David Cage / James Bond fanfic/movie-pitch.

This week the podcast crew takes on the 8th European Birthday of the Nintendo DS and celebrates by talking about all their favourite DS games. Greg makes everyone in the call want to buy Rune Factory 3 and the hosts discuss the impact that the SimCity DRM disaster might have on future games and what it means to consumers. It's a long but good episode of The Final Battle. Warning: This week's episode have end-game spoilers for Professor Layton and The Curious Village and certain details regarding the iOS port of The World Ends with You.

The podcast crew gets creative on Episode 7 of The Final Battle where the topics include Willem Dafoe's casting in Beyond: Two Souls, Cliffy B's blogspot regarding microtransactions and other industry news of this week. It turns out everyone is in a Valkyria Chronicles mood and then Nobuo Uematsu comes to warn us about demons and the localization of Fantasy Life.

The big PlayStation 4 episode is here, so naturally we put it off as much as we could while recording. We talk David Cage, Jonathan Blow, Media Molecule, Legend of Grimrock II and Kingdom Hearts story.

This week on The Final Battle the crew takes on the interesting question of what exactly could have happened to Aliens: Colonial Marines to leave it in the shape it was. We discuss both Sony's "Vita Heave" and the Nintendo knockoff "3DS Direct". Pfft... Some laughs are had and everyone mostly agrees that the Eyepad is the dumbest name for any product ever. Also, Trevor "VoltySquirrel" Stears from this site is guest-hosting this week!

Sorry for being three days late, we had technical difficulties in editing. This week the team talks about all the Platinum Games developed games they're playing, they also discuss the new PS Vita redesign patent, the DICE Awards, the Sonic Adventure 3 rumour and a bunch of other cool stuff.

Now this is a podcast all about how ol' Marshall's world turned up-side-down. It'll take you two hours but sit down man, we'll tell you how he became the undisputed prince of Iran. We also talk about PlayStation 4, XSEED, Racism in Borderlands 2 and a bunch of other stuff. Tobbii does a Q&A session about his SimCity Event Preview and we actually break some brand new news during the actual podcast!
