For a small enough island, we sure do pack a lot in! It’s been an incredible year for Irish sport, and for Irish craic. Over the year, we’ve spoken to Leona Maguire after her first LGFPA win, Vera Paw after Ireland qualified for the world cup, Karen Weekes who rowed the Atlantic solo and we met the Irish woman who won classic TV show ‘Gladiators’. We heard about the New York cabbie who flew to Ireland for a pint, met the 66 year old who went on a J1, learnt about Ireland’s martial arts and met Limerick’s biggest hurling fan. Cathal made a show of himself at a Paddy’s Day parade and we will never let him forget it. Pat Shortt shared one of his most embarrassing stories ever, we found out what happened when Olly Murs was drinking in Nicky Byrne’s local and met the Meath farmer who went to great lengths to keep cool this summer!

What do Colin Farrell, Jim Carrey, The Rock, Kate Winslet, Steve Carrell, Sandra Bullock and Courtney Cox all have in common? Sure they’re all great pals of Dermot and Dave! In ‘Dermot & Dave’s Best of Big Names’, we look back on just some of the famous faces who have popped by to say hello. Over three hours, you’ll hear from everyone from Reece Witherspoon to Matthew McConaughey, Scarlett Johannsson to Jessica Chastain. So today on Dermot & Dave, Producer Seán decided to introduce the lads to a game that he had played with his friends in the pub on Monday night. Prepare to be driven mad!

''Holidays are coming'' From ‘The Holidays Are Coming’ to ‘Don’t forget to turn the lights off’, it’s safe to say that with every Christmas comes some iconic Christmas Ads. Vaunnie McDermott, the managing director of advertising agency Connolly Partners joined Dermot and Dave to chat about what goes into making a good Christmas Ad.

The last one could be our favourite one ever! Dave's Bad Jokes had us all spluttering into our tea, even if we didn't want to!

When Noreen from Galway got in touch with Dermot and Dave, she'd had a pretty dramatic weekend. After bringing 12 year old Ruairc and sister Laoise to Dublin for the day to see the Toy Show Musical, they found out moments in advance that the show had been cancelled. To make up for the upset, they went to the Lego Store where they got some goodies. Which then ended up being left at the side of the car in the Heuston Station carpark, and then, poor Ruairc ended up in hospital! A fairly glum Noreen joined Dermot and Dave to ask for help, and needless to say...there might be a Christmas miracle!

It's the most nominated film at this year's Golden Globes, it topped the Irish box office and now, you can watch it from the comfort of your couch. In Pamela's Telly, we heard about the arrival of 'The Banshees of Inisherin' to streaming platforms, and the return of Netflix's most controversial series!

She's a soap opera legend and she has also won I'm a Celeb and Strictly Come Dancing in the past! Charlie Brooks will be treading the boards in Dublin next year when 'The Ocean At The End Of The Lane' comes to Bord Gáis Energy Theatre. Charlie joined Dermot and Dave to chat about the show and all things EastEnders.

How many times do you think you’ll be woken by excited children on Christmas Eve? In the words of Mean Girls, ‘the limit does not exist’. We all remember trying to sleep on Christmas Eve as children, and for parents, it’s going to be a long night. Thankfully, help is at hand. In a Mind Yourself Now special, Kelly Geoghan from Sleepystars.ie shared her top tips to ensure a rested house!
