The first in a weekly series of conversations with local food champions, as part of Powell River's 50-mile eat-local challenge, now in its fourth year. In this installment, I talk with Jeffrey Renn, the owner, manager, and chef at Bemused Bistro in Powell River, about his commitment to local food. Bemused Bistro is located at 4623 Marine Avenue in Powell River, BC, and is open Fridays and Saturdays until midnight and Sundays. Mondays through Thursdays, The Curry Hut is serving Indian food (less local, but worth checking out).
