In this episode, Rachael Roland shares her journey of founding her non-profit: BeLOVEd Beauty, a charitable organization which helps at-risk women (girls in the foster system and sex trafficking survivors) recover from past wounds and transition into sustainable jobs in the beauty industry. Rachael describes her post-college years in which she flew from the U.S. to Thailand and Cambodia to do work abroad where she was gripped by the reality of sex trafficking. When she returned to the U.S., she knew she had to start BeLOVEd Beauty. Having worked in the cosmetology industry, she wanted to share her passion for beauty and make up with women who have been through the most severe circumstances.
