Sermon for March 1, 2020 - The First Sunday in Lent - On this communion Sunday, we consider another individual who was commended by Jesus. The anointing of Christ with the precious perfume was extravagant. It was a gift beyond the woman's income. But she was so grateful that she did not count the cost. She gave the best she had. Some viewed it as waste.
