The Renaissance painter Raphael worked himself to death on the most famous oil painting in the world "The Transfiguration" which resides in the Vatican today. This painting depicts the two distinctly different scenes of the glory of Jesus on the Mount of Transfiguration contrasted with the disciples down below who failed miserably in casting out a demon.
