Hello baseball fans, and welcome back to another edition of the Rosterbatorical, the official MLB Daily Dish podcast. Chris and Matt are back to talk baseball, and the have a special guest. To start the show, the guys talk about the promotion of Yoan Moncada by the Boston Red Sox and what this means for the Red Sox. Once again, the Diamondbacks are in the news and this time it's a weird one. The Dodgers tried to re-acquire Zack Greinke before the September 1st deadline. Arizona said, without heistation, that they weren't moving Greinke now or in the foreseeable future. Is this a smart call by the Diamondbacks front office? Does it mean a whole lot? Then, Trivia Tuesdays on Thursdays returned and the topic was Michael Jordan, off the heels of Tim Tebow's baseball workout. For their guest this week, Chris and Matt are joined by Evan Davis of Beyond the Box Score to talk about their new podcast, and the American League Wild Card race.  Key timestamps: :56- Yoan Moncada promotion 6:54- Diamondbacks asked ab

The Dodgers acquired catcher Carlos Ruiz from the Phillies and got rid of their own catcher, AJ Ellis in the deal. Ellis and ace pitcher Clayton Kershaw had quite the history together, making this move a little odd. The guys break it down, and talk about the impact it could have on the team. Then they switch gears, and talked about the Arizona Diamondbacks and the swirling rumors around their front office. Both guys feel that change may be in order, but having a plan and sticking to it is best for the long-term future of the D-Backs. To close the show, Trivia Tuesdays on Thursdays returned and Matt went a perfect 5/5 and even got a bonus point. Then they talked about Gary Sanchez and the Yankees. 03/08/2016 Duración: 43min

Hello baseball fans, and welcome back to another edition of the Rosterbatorical, the official MLB Daily Dish podcast. It's been quite the week since Chris and Matt last brought you some baseball audio, with a lot of trades happening. Luckily for you, both guys are back this week to breakdown everything that happened, and talk about the aftermath of the frenzy that is the MLB trade deadline. They start by talking about what the Dodgers did, from trading for Josh Reddick and Rich Hill to demoting Yasiel Puig to Triple-A. Then they get into some of the bigger trades, like the Giants trading for Matt Moore.  If we are talking about winners from the deadline, the Rangers would have been at the top of the list, after getting both Carlos Beltran and Jonathan Lucroy. Matt and Chris talk about that, and give credit to Yankees general manager Brian Cashman for his work at the deadline. And to close the show, not on purpose, the guys breakdown the Mets rather odd acquisition of outfielder Jay Bruce. It's a jam-packe

  • Cubs make a trade, Dodgers injury woes and the Indians

    21/07/2016 Duración: 33min

Hello baseball fans, and welcome back to another edition of The Rosterbatorical, the official MLB Daily Dish podcast. Chris had to delay the recording of the show on Tuesday, and it ended up being a good thing he did. A bunch of major news and rumors came out on Wednesday, all of which would have made a Tuesday show very outdated. The Cubs made their first move of the trade season, and it wasn't for Andrew Miller or Aroldis Chapman. Instead, they acquired Mike Montgomery from the Mariners as part of a 4-player deal that sent hitting prospect Dan Vogelbach back to Seattle. The guys talk about that, and the chances that the Cubs are still in play for Miller/Chapman.  It was very rainy over Dodgers Stadium in terms of bad news, with Alex Wood being down for the next eight weeks after a procedure on his elbow. It got worse when news broke that ace Clayton Kershaw could need back surgery, putting the rest of his season in question. Should the Dodgers still be looking for that 'impact move' that they are rumored
