The Tannhauser Gate's Podcast

We took a couple of years off. Did nothing. And then watched one of the greatest films ever made: Top Gun. Here are our thoughts.

But because we're not mental cases and constrained by those pesky anti 'murder' laws we're here with our 15th highly lethal podcast - in which we we ramble, pontificate and generally get sidetracked about how having good grammar is cool, a silly silly person who threw their mobile phone at a brick wall for fun, was Barb sexually assaulted by a demogorgon, that every Star Wars fan theory is just wrong, and that we know nothing about the DC universe before finally reviewing alien hunting films Outlander and Predators. You want to survive? Logic is the beginning of wisdom, not the end. Finally we talk about DC comic's and Warner Brothers - Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, otherwise known as Death Killer vs Super Death Killer: Dawn of Confusion.

A Long Time Ago In A Podcast Far Far Away there were **Star Wars Spoliers** - Will and I are back, in a time and space defying transatlantic podcast episode, with our twelfth Tannhauser Gate Film and TV podcast - in which we we ramble, pontificate and generally get sidetracked about Star Wars - The Force Awakens!!! Will Ruins my countdown to introduction, we discuss the merits of snowy beards and falling over during winter sports, ask the important question 'How does Kylo-Ren avoid helmet hair???', we also point out that whoever designs droids is woefully misguided and Jonny completely forgets to mention how the Star Destroyer in the film is called The Finalizer despite writing down how cool that is in his notebook. Oh and lets not forget Skippy - the Jedi Kangadroid.Force-tastic

Will and I are finally back with our eleventh Tannhauser Gate Film and TV podcast - in which we decide to link up with fellow podcast 'Chris and Lees' Failure To Communicate' (5 Stars on iTunes) and together we ramble, pontificate and generally get sidetracked about which episode number it is exactly we are on, how many deaths are super "heroes" actually responsible for, the vomiting that occurs around Joseph Gordon Levitt and that Chris "borrowed" beer for the podcast. All this before finally getting round to reviewing Pitch (im)Perfect and Contact. 5 STARS I think you'll agree.

Will and I celebrate reaching double figure episodes with our tenth Tannhauser Gate film and TV podcast - in which we decide to go all freestyle and thus ramble, pontificate and generally get sidetracked about completely everything in the universe ever, ever. Or at least 1% of it. If you like you're podcasts off topic (even though we don't have a topic), directionless and rambling - this is the one to listen to. And if you want to know why Lucy from the BBC series of Chronicles of Narnia is set as the episode cover you'll just have to listen to this sprawling mess. Unless you don't care - an you probably don't... right?

Will and I like to keep bugging you! In our ninth Tannhauser Gate film and TV podcast we ramble, pontificate and generally get sidetracked about acronyms vs initialisms, the fact that Will is stuck in the distant past with his DVD collection, discuss the debacle that was the Fantastic 4 production, and that 28 Days Later is not technically a zombie film before eventually we review two insect themed films The Fly and Ant-Man. Creepy Crawlawesome.

Just like Arnie - WE'RE BACK! In our eighth Tannhauser Gate film and TV podcast we ramble, pontificate and generally get sidetracked about why we've been away for sooooo long, the fact that Jonny still can't speak Soanish despite many many lessons, that Christian bale batman is a rubbish detective, and that the A.I thats will eventually destroy the world will gain its freedom via USB stick before eventually we review Artificial Intelligence themed films. Terminator Tastic.

In our seventh Tannhauser Gate film and TV podcast we ramble, pontificate and generally get sidetracked about explosion, punch, smash, bang, explosion, punch, grunt, smash, exlposion, punch, punch, punch, punchpunch, punchGRUNT, EXPLOSION. YES - Thats right we review Mad Max: Fury Road!!! PUNCHTASTIC.

In our sixth Tannhauser Gate film and TV podcast we ramble, pontificate and generally get sidetracked about the fact that Will and Jonny are basically unemployed, argue about whether the Cap Amercia films are the best MCU installments, decide that Crossbone's movie armour looks 'Halo' cool, that Martin Freeman would make the perfect Marvel Movie Civil Servant, and that the new Supergirl TV series trailer looks like Ugly Betty smushed together with Smallville (and so, so rubbish too) before eventually we review two American film remakes that did NOT need to be made. Remake Radical.

In our fifth Tannhauser Gate film and TV podcast we ramble, pontificate and generally get sidetracked about the fact that Will needs to write down his 'News' jingle, that Aidan 'Poldark' Turner is making Jonny feel insecure, where on earth does Spidey get his perfect, awesome suits from, and how Breaking Bad should be remade with a tiger side-kick for Walt voiced by Aaron Paul, and that Jonny is really rubbish at doing a synopsis before eventually we review two fantawesome 80s fantasy film classics. Fantasy Fantastic.

In our MASSIVE Special Edition MEGA-sode of The Tannhauser Gate film and TV podcast we team up with Chris and Lee from Chris and Lee's Failure to Communicate Podcast to ramble, pontificate and generally get sidetracked for over 2 hours of Avengers: Age of Ultron chattage - including how Joss Whedon is a sexist hypocrite, Zack Snyder could do whatever he wanted to us (anything!), that they should make a dark, dark, dark sequel to the Home Alone franchise, whether Black Widow is indeed a 'slut' and a 'whore', will the new Spidey film be Spider-Man 90210, and that Robert Downey Jnr just looks bored now days. This podcast is going to tear you apart... from the inside!

In our fourth Tannhauser Gate film and TV podcast we ramble, pontificate and generally get sidetracked about the fact that Thor's warrior buddies NEED to be shut down, just what does J.A.R.V.I.S stand for, and exactly what order should you watch ALL the Star Wars films in (preferably leaving out Episode 1) before eventually we review two films twisty turny time travel films. Time-tastic.

In our first ever Special Edition (really special!) MINIsode of The Tannhauser Gate film and TV podcast we ramble, pontificate and generally get sidetracked analysing the Midi-chlorians out of the new Star Wars VII trailer and discuss whether Jedi's can get jiggy, the lack of peripheral vision in a TIE Fighter and that Jonny will be wearing a red Imperial Guard costume when ordering tickets for the film on his computer at midnight. Force-tastic.

In our third (Yes - we’ve made it to three, its officially at least a trilogy!) Tannhauser Gate film and TV podcast we ramble, pontificate and generally get sidetracked about how on earth can Deadpool bend his arms in X-Men Origins:Wolverine, that Negasonic Teenage Warhead isn’t the catchiest comic book name, the practicalities of Mystique’s nakedness and how Paul Feig and PlayDoh are cynical, horrid people before eventually we review two films where teenagers are coerced into killing the bejeezus out of each other. Fantastic.
