Appreciating that when a high-quality teacher decides to leave the classroom, we lose on student outcomes, this panel of classroom teachers who were recognized as excellent educators but who chose to leave North Carolina2019s classrooms was one of the more moving, inspiring and thoughtful sessions from the 2014 Emerging Issues Forum.
