Episodios

  • EP 23: The Gritty Remake of Rocket Power (Point Break)

    11/03/2017 Duración: 01h19min

With summer just a few short months away (if you're in the Northern Hemisphere), why not watch a movie about a group of dirty hippies robbing banks to finance their carefree lifestyle? This week we watched 1991's Point Break and figured that it warranted a discussion. Should you choose to listen, we recommend that you wax up your board, put on a wet suit that's a size too small and go sit in your bathtub. Make sure that your bathtub is full of salt water though, or else what's the point? Once you're settled in, grab yourself an antique fish tank filled with Corona and listen in as we discuss important subjects like burgers at Joe's Crab Shack, the good and bad of surf culture, and Gary Busey's sugar cube diet.  Download and stream the episode here, on iTunes here, or on Stitcher here. Thank you for listening! The song playing at the end of the episode is “I Will Not Fall” by Wire Train. You can buy their music here. Contact the show at bulletsbombsbeer@gmail.com.

  • BBB PRESENTS: NETFLIX & KILL-Kentucky Blood is Overrated (Sinister)

    04/03/2017 Duración: 01h01min

Man, I hope nobody ever runs my face over with a lawnmower while I'm still alive. On a totally unrelated note, we watched 2012's Sinister. You should absolutely look at this film as a cautionary tale that shows what can happen when you trust your children. The second you turn your back on them, they'll tie you to a pool chair and drown you. Until that eventuality, do us a favor and pour a true crime writer's-sized glass of scotch and listen to us as we discuss the movie as well as former Denver Nuggets shooting guard J.R. Smith, A Dog's Purpose, and Clark Griswold's attic.  Download and stream the episode here, on iTunes here, or on Stitcher here. Thank you for listening! Contact the show at netflixkillpodcast@gmail.com.

  • EP 22: Stompin' In Our Air Force Ones (Air Force One)

    24/02/2017 Duración: 01h20min

We hope you enjoyed this most recent Presidents' Day and celebrated in the traditional fashion by taking advantage of carpet store sales and used car specials. Now that it's all over, perhaps you should take some time to reflect on the great men who've helped shaped this county by listening to us talk about arguably the greatest fictional POTUS in history, President James Marshall. We watched 1997's Air Force One and decided to talk about it. Do us a favor and pour a cold, domestic brew into an old oaken bucket and relax as we discuss topics like Elvis Grbac, saving money on collect calls, and Vice President Cruella de Vil.  Download and stream the episode here, on iTunes here, or on Stitcher here. Thank you for listening! The song playing at the end of the episode is "The Parachutes" by Jerry Goldsmith. You can buy it here. Contact the show at bulletsbombsbeer@gmail.com.

  • BBB PRESENTS: NETFLIX & KILL-I Guess the House is Alive? (The Haunting)

    18/02/2017 Duración: 48min

Well hello there strangers, it has been awhile. Before you ask, the answer is yes, we missed you too. Let's just forget about the long absence and get right into it, shall we? This week  we watched 1999's The Haunting. We regretted getting back into podcasting shortly after the credits rolled. This is not a good movie, but it's not without its...charms(?). What we recommend is getting real loose on prescription painkillers, climbing into your bathtub with your clothes on and listening to us discuss Cathy Jones, the many "Wows" of Owen Wilson, and Crayola crayons.  Editor's note: This movie is no longer available to stream on Netflix but it was at the time of recording. Also, Josh is now aware that despite his claim, "The Strangers" is rated R, not PG-13. Please don't forgive him.  Download and stream the episode here, on iTunes here, or on Stitcher here. Thank you for listening! The song playing at the end of the episode is "The Carousel" by Jerry Goldsmith. You can buy it here.  Contact the show at netflix

  • EP 21: DMX's Bedtime Magic (Cradle 2 The Grave)

    10/09/2016 Duración: 01h18min

Back from our long Summer sabbatical, we decide to tackle the rap-heavy, Anthony Anderson-y, DMX-flavored 2003 film, Cradle 2 the Grave. This one doozy of a film. It's got everything a good movie needs besides good writing, real characters, or decent acting. But Jet Li does use a little person as a weapon, so that's neat. In this episode, we discuss DMX's lengthy criminal record, Gabrielle Union's incomparable good looks, and pornography at the workplace. Download and stream the episode here, on iTunes here, or on Stitcher here. Thank you for listening! Contact the show at bulletsbombsbeer@gmail.com.

  • BBB Presents: Netflix & Kill-Kissing the Skinless (Hellraiser II)

    15/07/2016 Duración: 01h02min

After taking a week off, we jump right back into the finger-licking nightmare that is the Hellraiser franchise. This week we watched Hellbound: Hellraiser II and at least one of us even liked it. I'd recommend taking most, if not all, of your clothes off and changing into some clothes you bought from Goodwill (but didn't wash yet) before listening to this episode. Once that process is complete, you're ready to listen to us discuss everything from the apparently inconsistent rules of the Puzzlebox to Fred's strategy of splitting up the gang during episodes of Scooby Doo. Download and stream the episode here, on iTunes here, or on Stitcher here. Thank you for listening! Contact the show at netflixkillpodcast@gmail.com.

  • EP 20: Pullman/Quaid 2016 (Independence Day)

    01/07/2016 Duración: 01h16min

In honor of this great nation's 240th birthday, we sat down, had a few Freedom Sodas, and watched the 1996 blockbuster, Independence Day. This is a movie that says you can marry a stripper and save the world (in the same day, no less). Independence Day proves that you can live in an RV and be a hero on a global scale while also being this guy. So on this coming Independence Day, throw back a few domestic brews, exercise your Second Amendment rights, and listen to us discuss everything from Frutopia to an aroused Tony Shalhoub. Oh, and remember....someday you might fly a fighter jet alongside the President of the Free World  while defending the planet from total annihilation. Probably. Download and stream the episode here, on iTunes here, or on Stitcher here. Thank you for listening! Contact the show at bulletsbombsbeer@gmail.com.

  • BBB Presents: Netflix & Kill-Run the Hook & Splatter (Hellraiser)

    24/06/2016 Duración: 01h06min

We can all agree that you probably shouldn't bang your future husband's brother on your wedding day, but where do we stand on doubling down and murdering people to provide that brother with a new suit of skin? Decide for yourself as you listen to us talk about our Hellraiser viewing experience. This week our talking points cover such topics as VICE News slideshows, Pat Benatar, and switchblade sex scars. Download and stream the episode here, on iTunes here, or on Stitcher here. Thank you for listening! Contact the show at netflixkillpodcast@gmail.com.

  • EP 19: How the Sexual Tyrannosaurus Went Extinct (Predator)

    17/06/2016 Duración: 01h11min

This week we really reached for a movie on the top shelf and pulled Predator down to our level. Predator might be the best action movie ever made and the fact that we had the gall to even try to talk about it in a humorous fashion is a sin in the eyes of our Lord and Savior,  Governor Jesse "The Body" Ventura. Regardless of sin, you should absolutely cover yourself in mud, drink some malt liquor  out of a vine and listen to us discuss topics ranging from Carl Weathers' skin to trying to chug beer during the greatest handshake of all time. Download and stream the episode here and on iTunes here. Thank you for listening.  Email the show at bulletsbombsbeer@gmail.com

  • BBB PRESENTS: NETFLIX & KILL-NO SUCH THING AS A HALF WAY DOOK

    11/06/2016 Duración: 01h20min

Those of you with delicate sensibilities, this is probably not the episode for you. For those unique few who can laugh at jokes about sedating children, enjoy. This week we watched a great film in 2014’s The Babadook. Please watch it. Watch it by yourself, in your basement, with the lights off. Still with us? Ok, now go pop some prescription grade opiates (share with your child) and listen as we discuss a child that can make terrifying weapons, nutrition labels on malt liquor, and the person who wrote The Three Little Pigs.Download and stream the episode here and on iTunes here. Thank you for listening. Contact the show at netflixkillpodcast@gmail.com.

  • EP 18: Sorry for Party Rockin' (The Rock)

    03/06/2016 Duración: 01h08min

I'd imagine that breaking out of prison isn't easy. Maybe breaking back into prison is easy? WRONG. The only way to break into a prison is to enlist the help of an aging convict and a Beatlemaniac. Lower your standards and join us as we discuss the 1996 blockbuster, The Rock. Get into a state of mind that allows you to believe that you could have gone pro had it not been for those 14 measly concussions and listen to us discuss clothed rooftop sex, Fabrizio, and the 1996 San Francisco 49ers. Download and stream the episode here and on iTunes here. Thank you for listening.  Contact the show at bulletsbombsbeer@gmail.com

  • BBB Presents: Netflix & Kill-We'd Rather Not

    21/05/2016 Duración: 01h13min

Everyone loves a dinner party. Most people love a good party game. Less people love being pitted against each other in a battle of horrible tasks by an eccentric, vaguely European man for large sums of money. This is the premise of this week's movie, Would You Rather. Grab a decanter of the cheapest scotch money can buy, and join us as we discuss Sasha Grey's body of work, barrels with numbers on them, and how easy it is to hate an elderly paraplegic woman. Download and stream the episode here and on iTunes here. Thank you for listening. You can email the show at netflixkillpodcast@gmail.com.

  • Ep 17: Arm Wrestling is Love, Arm Wrestling is Life (Over The Top)

    29/04/2016 Duración: 01h29min

What a strange and sensual movie Over The Top is. It's only appropriate that we recorded an equally strange and sensual episode of the Bullets, Bombs, and Beers Podcast to match. Where does one even begin with this movie? We had no idea, so we spent some time discussing a recently deceased female wrestler's unmentionables, a father, son, mother, and grandfather love quadrangle, and the exact definition of the term "double elimination". Climb up into the cab of your rusty 18-wheeler with us, turn your hat backwards, break an aggressive sweat, and listen to three very confused men discuss one of 1987's biggest mistakes. Oh, and please watch this Kenny Loggins music video. Links can be found here and on iTunes here. Thanks for listening!

  • BBB Presents: Netflix & Kill-Up Wolf Creek Without a Paddle

    08/04/2016 Duración: 59min

Just when you thought it was safe to go back to Australia....just kidding, it's never been safe to go to Australia. If the dangerous animals don't get you, maybe the dangerous plants will. Maybe one of the insane, xenophobic, initially friendly Paul Hogan types will be your undoing, perhaps even a combination of all the above. Regardless of how it happens, just know that it will happen, and it will happen brutally and without remorse. This week we watched Wolf Creek 2 and dove deep into it's Mick Taylor-filled waters. Join us after your drive home from the Outback Steakhouse, lick the Vegemite of your fingers, and crack open that can of Foster's that's been rolling around in the trunk of your car for the past two years as we discuss everything from hitchhiking as a legitimate career option to an Australian Donald Trump building his wall out of bodies. Links to this episode can be found here and on iTunes here. Thanks a ton for listening!  Email the show at bulletsbombsbeer@gmail.com.

  • EP 16: Do Not Become Addicted to Water, Drink Beer Instead (Mad Max Fury Road)

    11/03/2016 Duración: 01h35min

After another leave of absence, we are back to finish off our coverage of the Mad Max franchise. In this long (too long) episode, we discuss the latest and greatest installment of Mad Max with Fury Road. This week, we talk about our distaste for Beyond Thunderdome, Frank Miller's distaste for poor people, and the weirdness of industrialized breast milk production. This is a rambling saga of a podcast that probably should have been broken into two parts to prevent the drunken mess that is the second half of this episode, but whatever. You know what you get with this duo of idiots. Download and stream episodes here and on iTunes here. The video to the body count video mentioned in the podcast can be found here. You can contact the show at bulletsbombsbeer@gmail.com. Thanks for listening!

  • BBB Presents: Netflix & Kill-Sorority Roast

    06/02/2016 Duración: 01h02min

Another piece of content slowly trickles out of the BBB brain trust and into your waiting mouth...err..mind with this look at the 2009 moving picture, Sorority Row. This is a movie so rife with cattiness that it almost qualifies as bestiality. Hmm. Always thought it was spelled "beastiality". The googling I did to find the correct spelling will certainly land me on a few new lists. Anyway, we invite you to listen in as we spend an hour discussing modified tire irons, going "Chugs deep", and different ways to describe one's relative slickness. The song that plays after we finally shut up is Aimee Allen's "Emergency". You can download or stream the episode here or on iTunes here. If you have a few minutes, please leave a rating and maybe even a brief review in the iTunes page. It really helps us out. You can contact the show at bulletsbombsbeer@gmail.com. Thanks for listening!

  • BBB Presents: Netflix & Kill-Just Creepin'

    15/01/2016 Duración: 45min

We are excited to officially publish our first episode of a podcast in which we only watch horror movies available on Netflix, that we have titled "Netflix & Kill". Yeah. Pretty good, right? No? Go fuck yourself. Anyway, we watched what is sure to be a absolute classic in 2014's Creep. Some of us watched it upwards of three times. It's a legitimately good movie, something that we don't see very often while doing our homework for these podcasts. Join us as we discuss baths with imaginary infants, the availability of studio-quality werewolf masks at dollar stores, and the sound an axe makes when one buries it into the skull of a trusting human companion. Apologies for some minor audio issues for a couple minutes in the middle of the episode. Also, if you stick around after we finish rambling, you'll get to hear the Peachfuzz song in its entirety. Download/stream here or on iTunes here. Thanks for listening! Email us at bulletsbombsbeer@gmail.com

  • EP. 15: Woods and Stone May Break My Stallone, But Poorly Written and Acted Words Can Never Hurt Me (The Specialist)

    31/10/2015 Duración: 01h18min

Well, it has certainly been awhile. We apologize not only for that link in the previous sentence, but for also being away for so long. Going forward, we will definitely be posting new episodes more regularly. Probably. Ok, enough with all that noise. We watched the 1994…uh…not-classic(?), The Specialist. Man, this movie is not good. I’ll tell you what is good though. James Woods. He is super James Woodsy in this fart of a movie and that makes it kinda watchable. Also, we get real creepy about a very attractive Sharon Stone. Real creepy. So, grab a rusty metal pail full of absinthe and open your mind to us discussing a very sexually aggressive Eric Roberts, teacup bombs, and tequila at noon. Download and stream this episode here or on iTunes here. Thanks a ton for staying with us through this content drought, we love all of you. Besides you. You know who you are.

  • The Greatest Catholic Propaganda Piece (The Exorcist)

    28/06/2015 Duración: 56min

The launch of our new sister podcast series, focusing on horror films, begins with the 1973 classic, The Exorcist. In this episode, we establish the two rules of Hell, grow envious of parties in the 70's, and even talk about the actual movie a bit. At some point this series will get its own title, but until then you can call it whatever you'd like. Download and stream this episode from here on on iTunes here. Emails are always welcomed at bulletsbombsbeer@gmail.com. Thanks for listening!

  • Ep. 14: All Chaps are Assless (Road Warrior)

    05/06/2015 Duración: 01h18min

We are firmly in the middle of an all-out Mad Max rebirth right now. You'll tell your grandchildren about the days when Mad Max: Fury Road was in theaters. But, this episode isn't really about that movie (although we had trouble not talking about it this week), it's about the Road Warrior. Or Mad Max 2, depending on where you lived when the movie came out. Either way, a great movie that we gush about while also mentioning Joe Dirt's baby pictures, Commando's Bennett, and barely concealed rectums. Grab a bucket of suds, relax, and let the sounds of two idiots babbling like schoolgirls over a 35 year-old movie wash over you. Download/stream it here and on iTunes here. Emails are welcome and very much encouraged! Send messages electronically to bulletsbombsbeer@gmail.com. Thanks for listening!
