The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. We should be in utter awe of Him more than any other person or thing. And what God desires most from us, more than any other sacrifice, is our obedience. We welcome Stuart Greaves back to Grace for all three services! Stuart comes to us from International House of Prayer – Kansas City (IHOPKC), where he serves as the Vice President of the Global Prayer Division, which serves the Global Prayer Room. He will encourage us through the crucial reminder that Christ is magnificent, even in crisis, and will show us how to live a life worthy of our calling as followers of Him.

Feeding our fears can create a monster. Feeding our faith sets off a chain reaction that leads to peace and joy. Ron concludes our series this weekend by telling the story of his own struggle with panic disorder and what’s worked for him.

Jesus is our Great Shepherd. In Luke 2:32 He says, “Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” He talked about God being our heavenly Father with a heart full of compassion for His children. As we get a clear picture of this God, His perfect love will drive out our fear.

The Gospel says we can live fearlessly in a fear-filled world. This weekend, we look at Bible stories that inspire courage and show us how to find peace when anxiety attacks.

There’s an unseen battle raging for your soul…to keep you from God and your appointed calling. Knowing your enemy and his strategies to overwhelm you with fear and anxiety can help you win your everyday skirmishes, knowing Jesus has already won the war.

Fear is an easy way to control children. The devil likes to use it on God’s kids. Satan is lord of the dark kingdom, and his agenda for your life is to scare you away from God. Fear is his #1 strategy for world domination. This weekend Ron’s taking us into Scripture to see how God has equipped us in Christ with everything we need to stay free from fear. In the middle of a culture on fire with fear, we can worship together, hear God’s Word, and set our faith on fire!

Broken people living in a broken world, we need God now more than ever. We’ve got broken hearts and broken homes, strained relationships and children in trouble, unemployment, debt, addiction, hurting bodies. And it’s to us in 2021 America that Jesus says, “In Me you may have perfect peace. In the world you have distress and suffering, but be courageous. Be confident and filled with joy! For I have overcome the world.” The truth is God changes hearts and the destinies of nations through the prayers of broken people, so we will not lose heart, give up, and go silent. This year. This month. Together. We will pray our way into this New Year.

We’re reminded every year of the Christmas story of baby Jesus when God incredibly came to the earth. He preached the good news of the kingdom and made a way for sinners to be forgiven. These are all foundational truths to Christianity. The return of Jesus is also a foundational truth. As His Church we must know of His return, like we know the Christmas story, and look for it with great expectation and faith. This message we will consider the Scriptures and seek to answer the question…when will Jesus return?

Seven hundred years before the birth in Bethlehem, a prophet declared it would be. Here are those immortal words in Isaiah 9:6: “For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” This weekend Ron will talk about the great mystery of the incarnation and the infinite depth of God’s love for His most prized creation…people like you and me. It’s going to be a great time to celebrate the joy of Christmas!

This whole cosmos is not some random experiment God pulled out of His hat. We’re part of a complex plan that He formulated before time with Jesus as its centerpiece and culmination. As the firstborn of God’s new creation, Jesus reveals who we are and what our relationship with Him means for today. This weekend Ron lays out its revelation to the Apostle Paul in the book of Romans.
