She began her career at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Medical College as a resident in Anesthesiology. Dr Susan Martinelli is a Professor of Anesthesiology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with her clinical specialty in cardiothoracic anesthesiology.  She is passionate about resident education and serves as the Associate Residency Program Director.  She is also interested in physician wellbeing with research interests in the flipped classroom in residency education and finding ways to include family and friends into wellness programming. Dr. Perry is the Chief of Cardiothoracic Anesthesia at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis. He completed his anesthesia training and subspecialty training in cardiothoracic anesthesia at the Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School of Medicine, where he went on to receive his Masters in Clinical and Translational Research. Dr. Viachaslau Barodka is an associate professor of anesthesiology and critical care medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. His area of clinical expertise is cardiac anesthesiology. An expert in both red blood cell deformability and vascular stiffness, Dr. Barodka has a strong connection to Biomedical engineering and is developing new tools for real time assessment of renal function. He has also optimized strategies to reduce renal failure post cardiac surgery. Dr. Barodka earned his M.D. from Belarussian State Medical Institute in Minsk, Belarus. He completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery at City Pediatric Outpatient Clinic No. 17 in Minsk and another residency in anesthesiology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Dr. Barodka performed a fellowship in anesthesiology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Barodka joined the Johns Hopkins faculty in 2009. His research interests include vascular stiffness, blood transfusion and cardiovascular physiology.

Dr. Barry N. Gardiner, MD obtained his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He completed his internship and a five year residency in general surgery at the University of California Medical Center in San Francisco. In addition, he was the recipient of an N.I.H. Fellowship in Gastroenterology, completing a two year study in clinical gastroenterology and research investigation into the formation of cholesterol gallstone formation under the tutelage of Donald M. Small at Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Gardiner served as a Lt. Colonel in the U.S. Army, both as Staff Surgeon and Director of the Department of Investigational Surgery at the Presidio of San Francisco. He then joined the clinical faculty of the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine until entering private practice in general surgery in the East Bay.
