We were live from Godfather’s Pizza along with our guests: Joe Conklin, Steve Manders, Nicholas Baer, and our Illini friend, Kedric Prince to look ahead to the college football season and talk a little Big Ten basketball. We do our yearly over/under segment and look back at Iowa football media day and Kids Day.

This week on the podcast, Tom Kakert and Matt Randazzo discuss some good news for Iowa basketball recruiting with the commitment of Ahron Ulis. We also look at the final five for Xavier Foster and the rest of 2020 hoops recruiting for Fran McCaffery. After a few weeks away, Tom Kakert and Matt Randazzo are back with a new podcast. We open talking about Iowa basketball and the never ending off season news items. We discuss the impact of Jordan Bohannon’s injury and discuss the potential graduate transfer. Then we dive into a lot of news on the basketball and football recruiting fronts after seeing a lot of prospects this spring at various events. Finally we wrap up with a little Iowa football talk and discuss start times being announced and we look at some early point spreads for Iowa.

A fun edition of the Hawkeye Report Podcast. Tom and Matt are joined by the voice of the Iowa baseball program, Zach Mackey to discuss his career as a broadcaster and the success of the Hawkeyes this season under the direction of Rick Heller. We talk to Zach about his day job with the Iowa football program and helping out with recruiting, and then we talk about the state of the Iowa basketball program.

It’s not an emergency podcast, but there’s plenty to talk about this week on the basketball front. Tom Kakert and Matt Randazzo dive into the rumor involving Fran McCaffery and the Arkansas job. Then we look at the list of potential candidates if McCaffery were to leave the Hawkeyes.
