Video Games 2 The Max

I want to apologize for taking such a long and unintended break. Sean has been consumed by the NJPW G1 Climax 25, personal issues, work, and the need for sleep. So, the last thing he did in that time off was do stuff with video games. However, Sean and Marc are back with the first of two shows this week. This will cover pretty much everything we missed before Gamescom happened. Then tomorrow we will discuss what occurred at Gamescom 2015 and more. We still have plenty to discuss today such as: Square-Enix declaring Final Fantasy VII Remake to see dramatic changes, rumors of a possible Final Fantasy XII Remaster, China lifting their home console ban, Tomb Raider being exclusive for a year and a lot more. Marc also discusses what he's playing and Sean just tries to get through it all.

This week, we discuss the best selling games of June 2015, Nintendo releasing Devil's Third (I forgot this game existed) to the Americas this year, the possibility of a Borderlands 4 and more. Marc also discusses what he's been playing this week and what he thinks of the new edition of Deception IV.

As many people know by now, Nintendo's President and C.E.O. Satoru Iwata passed away a few days ago and Sean is joined by the whole crew of Marc, Daniel Anderson, and Robert Cooper to talk about what Mr. Iwata meant to Nintendo, what is his legacy, and if Nintendo will change going forward. The guys also discuss what they've been playing, Kojima Productions ending, Deep Silver parting ways with Dead Island 2 developer YAGER, and what stood out to everyone about comic-con.

Sorry we took a week off last week, Marc was sick, Sean had a lot of stuff happening at work and we could never figure out a time to do it.Anyway, so at least there are things to talk about in this episode. There are more leaks about the possibility of a release window for the Nintendo NX, Microsoft could buy AMD, Minecraft: Story Mode details have been revealed, Warner Bros apparently knew all along that Batman for PC sucked and a whole lot more.We have around two weeks of news to sift through, so this could be a longer one than usual.Marc also gives his final thoughts on Batman: Arkham Knight, both Marc and Sean have played the new PS Plus title Rocket League (Go Download it Now!)We also discuss what are the Top 5 Best Games of 2015 (So Far) at the end.

This week, Sean and Marc have plenty of news from Nintendo. Everything from Splatoon selling over 1 Million copies to Reggie Fils-Aime voicing his opinion on VR. The Dishonored developers also revealed how much control the players will have over the characters, Tetsuya Nomura promises changes to the Final Fantasy VII Remake and Online for Kingdom Hearts 3? What? Yeah it's a thing apparently. So, join us for all of that, plus Marc has his thoughts on Batman Arkham Knight on PC, both guys have been playing some Ori and the Blind Forest, and much more.

Sean and Marc are joined by Robert Cooper to discuss some further information about games like the Final Fantasy VII Remake and if that means we will see more FF remakes in the future. Horizon, Star Fox, and more. The guys also give a wrap-up on what we saw from the conferences and talk about some of their most anticipated titles for the upcoming year. This week on The official 411 Games podcast, Sean and Marc discuss the possibility of there being a Red Dead Redemption 2, Need for Speed getting a reboot, Rock Band 4 being like an RPG, Bravely Second possibly coming West, the whole Witcher 3 graphics issue, and more. Marc also has more to say about his time with Witcher 3 as well.

There's also news about Konami announcing their future plans, Nintendo sort of saying they won't be doing microtransactions in their mobile games, NPD's for April, Capcom's love of HD remasters and more. We are a day later, but that's ok because Sean and Marc have plenty of stuff to discuss on this week's episode. Nintendo revealed a bunch of stuff about Splatoon and also about themselves. Who would have thought Nintendo theme park rides would be a reality? Yeah... probably no one. However, that's happening so we are going to talk about that, plus Nintendo earns its first profit in a long time and lots more. Activision also revealed they made money, but gave out some bad news about World of Warcraft losing 3 million subscribers. There's also information about Guitar Hero LIVE and Destiny too. EA gave out release years for Mirror's Edge and Titanfall 2. SEGA is not happy with their sales (go figure), and there's a Dishonored Remastered coming too. Not to mention, there's even more out there like Grandia II remaster coming to Steam as well.

I know this is a quick turn around, but this is probably going to be our new release time-frame for a little while. This week, Sean and Marc share their "Five Games that make-up our gaming influences." I know it has been two weeks, but scheduling conflicts and new work schedules caused to have to delay the podcast. But we are back and if you like Star Wars, there's plenty to talk about on that front. We delve into what was announced for Star Wars Battlefront and we also talk about the Force Awakens new trailer, the Anthology Films, and a few other things. There's also the Guitar Hero Live announcement, the US Government allowing people to voice their opinion on jailbreaking home consoles, Call of Duty Black Ops 3, and a whole lot more. Marc also talks about Axiom Verge, Mortal Kombat X for PC, Sean gives more thoughts on Xenoblade Chronicles 3D and why he's going to start playing series of games that he owns.

Happy Easter everyone. Sorry, we took a week off due to Wrestlemania 31 consuming Sean's time. But that gives us two week's worth of news to get through. Sean and Marc break down Nintendo's pretty big direct where they confirmed Legend of Zelda Wii U has been delayed until 2016, but they revealed more Amiibo, a new trailer for Shin Megami X Fire Emblem, more DLC for Smash and Mario Kart, and yeah more stuff. Marc bought a PS4 this week, so we get his thoughts on that. We talk about the Halo 5 trailers and what it could mean for the game's story, Quantum Break gets delayed until 2016, and damn there is just too much to list here. Sean has started his review of Xenoblade Chronicles 3D. Sean also has thoughts on the mobile game Final Fantasy Record Keeper, both Marc and Sean talk Episode 2 of Tales from the Borderlands, and probably a few more games will be mixed in there.
