We are a world in need of hope! Countless people around the world have experienced one of the most difficult years ever, and many have found that their sources of hope and reasons for hope have been found insufficient for all that life continues to throw at them. How can we cultivate a resilient hope that prevails in the midst of chronic crisis and difficulty? Pastors Jeremy and Lisa kick off our Resilient Hope sermon series by reflecting on some key learnings from the life of David.

If you were asked to describe 2020, I think it would be safe to say that peace would not be one of the first words to come out of your mouth. Throughout our lives, peace is often an elusive feeling that we are continually chasing, which we just can't seem to grasp. Join us online as we wrap up our Advent series and take time to ask - what if peace is closer than we think?

In our lives we all have some thoughts that come to mind when we hear the word "dad." These thoughts could range from good, to bad, to ugly and everywhere in between. So when we hear God described as Father, many of our experiences with our own fathers cloud the picture of what God could be like. Join us online as we look at Jesus as one who reveals an unchanging picture of who God is as we seek to know Him as our Everlasting Father.

There are times in life that it is hard to see a way forward. The situation we find ourselves in seem beyond our ability to get through. Often these are moments of crisis or trails. Into a difficult situation Isaiah declares good news that to us a Child is born and one of his name is Mighty God. Join us this week as we take some time to look at how that name can change how we look at our current situations.

We know that much of our Christmas preparations will be different this year, but the call of Advent to prepare our hearts remains the same. At a time when uncertainty is at its height, what does it mean to know the one who is Wonderful Counsellor? Join us online as we begin our Advent journey, and join together to Prepare Him room.  

Ever notice that the moments we love and are so meaningful to us seem to be over before we have experienced all of the joy that we want to receive from them? We often say that God is so good and yet in difficult times we wrestle with His love and intentions towards us. This week, Pastor Lisa shares a very simple yet profound rhythm of grace that will help us remember the goodness of God enabling us to embrace and experience the joy He offers us more deeply.

If you google the phrase: mental health impact of Covid-19, nearly 800 million results immediately surface. Most of the results focus on the daily number of infections, but there is a growing awareness of how the pandemic is impacting people's mental, emotional, relational and spiritual reality. The science supporting God’s invitation to a regular practice of gratitude to radically improve a person’s well-being, is fascinating and compelling, and this week’s rhythm of grace offers some thoughts on how to more consciously access it.

All of us experience loss and with every loss comes grief.  This has a significant impact on our hearts and influences how we treat ourselves and others.  Join us as Pastor Lisa shares how a simple Rhythms of Grace can help us to experience the kindness of God expressed to us in times of grief helping us to love both others and ourselves well.

It’s hard to believe there was a time when there was no such thing as the internet and a smartphone.  What was once heralded as a way to free up time and make us more productive, has instead exponentially sped up the pace of our life to the point of chronic exhaustion.  We need a rhythm to help us experience the grace of God in the midst of digital overload. One of Jesus' great invitations is that we would find rest in Him, but the experience of this is often far from the concept. Join us as we begin our new series Rhythms of Grace and take time to explore what it may mean to find pause in our lives amongst the noise and busyness of our world.

Jesus' heart for us is not just that we would hear of other people’s encounters with Him, but that we would have our own. Have you ever been encouraged by someone else to “Just have faith” - maybe it is a line you have repeated to yourself or shared with others? So what is faith and what does it mean to have faith?  Join us on Sunday as we look at an encounter with Jesus that causes Him to marvel at a person's faith.

There are often things that happen in our lives which cause us to wonder if there is a way forward. For some of us, it feels like we carry the baggage of past decisions or actions with us throughout our entire lives. Others feel like there is no return from the choices or actions of the past. Join us on Sunday as we look at an Encounter with Jesus that just might provide some hope for those who feel like they are on the outside looking in.

Loving your enemy isn’t easy. When Jesus talks about loving your enemy, He embodied what that meant. Jesus models grace in such a radical way, that when we see it for ourselves, it’s hard not to be moved. The question is, will it move us to be more like the culture around us? Or will the grace of Jesus overwhelm us to love even when it hurts the most?
