Round one in the books, the sand bags are off Merc are out front and it was a silver arrows 1/2. A strong recovery from Kimi after a disaster in FP3. But credit where credit is due, it was a mature drive from the young Italian. Ferrari put up a fight and could match it with the Mercs. So maybe this could be the fight for the opening of the season. A new leader has emerged, and it's Norris by 1 pt. Oh boy what a finish we have. Lando was untouchable and has taken the title lead by 1 point, and who would have thought, with 4 to go we are this close. Bearman fell tantalisingly short of a podium in his drive of the year, a rookie flying under the radar and a future big fish of the sport.  And it was a close call for Marshall's and Lawson, a little bit more educating needed for some circuits. It was a weekend to remember for George, a much deserved result for a man without a contract. Williams were on and then off as an incorrect DRS flap saw them disqualified from quali. Pop goes the engine, and so to the single figure points gap. The Aussie stretches his legs in the title fight.
