We have a special guest here today, Joe Pagani, founder of the GoJenGo Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing critical financial assistance to local individuals and families who are battling breast cancer. Joe is Smarty Dad to two boys ages 13 and 11. In February 2014, after a 7-year battle, Joe lost his amazing wife, Jen Pagani to inflammatory breast cancer. Jen Pagani was a powerhouse and a local celebrity as she faced the fight of her life. Prior to cancer she was kicking everyone’s booty at the Harris Y as a personal trainer and was a two-time Ironman finisher. She was a rockstar and a true warrior and we were proud to call her “friend." Joe is a warrior in his own right. It was an honor to talk to him and hear about what life is like now as he carries on Jen's legacy. GoJenGo: https://gojengo.org/ RunJenRun 5k: https://raceroster.com/events/2020/24811/run-jen-run-5k

  • Smarty Momcast: Meet Angel Rutledge of SignUpGenius

    09/08/2019 Duración: 19min

Smarties Jen P. and Cheryl are talking to Angel Rutledge, founder of one our absolute faves, SignUpGenius. Did you know that SignUpGenius was started right here in South Charlotte in 2008? The idea came to Angel and her hubby, Dan, when they had a gaggle of young kids and could not handle one more “reply all” text thread. Can you blame them? Life got exponentially busier and they could not keep up with the coordination. They set out to change the way organization and sign-ups were handled and as a result gave schools, businesses, and everyday parents the power to coordinate like champions, and we are forever grateful. Today up to 18 million people per month are organizing with SignUpGenius. We could not be more proud of Angel, Dan and the INCREDIBLE SignUpGenius team for doing all of this out of little ‘ole Charlotte, NC! As you can expect, Angel is amazing. We can't wait for you to meet her.
