  • Should We Fear the End Times?

    08/09/2020 Duración: 57min

Endless waves of hard things going on in the world can cause us to ask if we are living in the end times. What actually leads up to the end? Should we be afraid? Some of us fear increased suffering. Others have a fear of missing out on experiences. Many fear impending judgment! But believers can face the end times with a deep anticipation for the return of Christ. No matter what we believe (premillenialism, postmillenialism, amillienialsm), knowing Jesus can return at any moment should compel us to live differently.     Connect with us:  www.dailygracepodcast.com  www.thedailygraceco.com  https://www.facebook.com/thedailygraceco/  https://www.instagram.com/thedailygraceco/    Questions? • When Our Sins are Exposed

    04/08/2020 Duración: 46min

Exposure of our personal sins is humbling, hard, and sometimes painful. Often, we find that we try to cover up our sins or ignore them! Or maybe we’re just not aware of some sins lingering in our hearts! We can tend to deny or undermine our sins because we don’t want to feel shame or judgment. But in Christ, we believe that it’s a mercy for our sins to be exposed! It’s an invitation to turn our eyes to the cross, practice repentance, and be purified. This is a vital part of growing in godliness!    Connect with us:  www.dailygracepodcast.com  www.thedailygraceco.com  https://www.facebook.com/thedailygraceco/  https://www.instagram.com/thedailygraceco/    Questions? • The Value of Women with Elyse Fitzpatrick & Eric Schumacher

    28/07/2020 Duración: 53min

Is a woman’s worth different than a man’s worth? Does Christianity devalue women? Elyse and Eric show us in their book how Scripture actually holds a high view of women as evidenced by the indispensable role women play in God’s overall plan of redemption. They continue their work by engaging in open and respectful dialogue on this charged topic of the value of women. We talk about why there are misperceptions about women inside and outside of the church, how we can practically celebrate women, and more.    Connect with us:  www.dailygracepodcast.com  www.thedailygraceco.com  https://www.facebook.com/thedailygraceco/  https://www.instagram.com/thedailygraceco/    Questions? • The Gospel for All People

    21/07/2020 Duración: 52min

The gospel is not just for a certain demographic. We can know this in our heads, but sometimes, the way we live communicates a different message. Maybe we find ourselves withholding the gospel from people who are different from us. Maybe we think some people are “too far gone” in their sins to hear the Good News. Maybe we’ve been deeply hurt and don’t want the grace of God to lead the offending party to repentance. We can forget the gospel, and that it is indeed for all people!    Connect with us:  www.dailygracepodcast.com  www.thedailygraceco.com  https://www.facebook.com/thedailygraceco/  https://www.instagram.com/thedailygraceco/    Questions? • Overcoming Negative Body Image

    14/07/2020 Duración: 48min

Many of us silently wrestle with negative body image issues. We feel pride or shame in how we look or don’t look. While it’s true that God looks at our hearts and cares for the eternal well-being of our souls, He also made us as whole persons with physical bodies. What God said is “good” became distorted with sin. But the gospel offers us true freedom even here. Jesus can overcome the heart issues related to body image. We can find our worth, not in our outward appearances, but in our union with Christ!    Connect with us:  www.dailygracepodcast.com  www.thedailygraceco.com  https://www.facebook.com/thedailygraceco/  https://www.instagram.com/thedailygraceco/    Questions? 07/07/2020 Duración: 50min

Someone you know is grieving or suffering. This is true for all of us. And the thing is, we want to be people who love and encourage others well in all seasons of life, even the hard ones. But we wonder: “What if we say the wrong thing? What if we make them even sadder? What if it’s really awkward? Could we really offer any sort of comfort?” In this episode, we get really practical about things we can say and things we can do when we’re walking with others through their grief and suffering.    Connect with us:  www.dailygracepodcast.com  www.thedailygraceco.com  https://www.facebook.com/thedailygraceco/  https://www.instagram.com/thedailygraceco/    Questions? • What Does It Mean to “Abide”?

    23/06/2020 Duración: 43min

Abide. We use it as our “word of the year”. We see it on coffee mugs, necklaces and baseball caps. But what does abiding really mean? How do we abide? What does it look like to abide in the Lord in this day and age? We are joined by Kristin Schmucker, and she helps us see how abiding is simply being a disciple. It’s not about trying harder out of our own strength, but trusting in the person and work of Christ. It’s an overflow of our position in Christ as His beloved. It’s a means to true rest.    Connect with us: www.dailygracepodcast.com www.thedailygraceco.com https://www.facebook.com/thedailygraceco/ https://www.instagram.com/thedailygraceco/   Questions? • When Comparison is a Good Thing

    16/06/2020 Duración: 45min

Does comparison always lead to envy and competition? Is it really “the thief of joy”? Scripture offers us a different form of comparison: imitation. We are called to imitate those who imitate Christ. This is a positive form of comparison that helps us in our pursuit of godliness. It isn’t about getting validation. It is acknowledging our weaknesses, identifying believers who are strong in those areas, and learning from them in order to grow in Christlikeness. The goal is more of Christ and His glory.    Connect with us:  www.dailygracepodcast.com  www.thedailygraceco.com  https://www.facebook.com/thedailygraceco/  https://www.instagram.com/thedailygraceco/    Questions? 09/06/2020 Duración: 46min

We know we should pray. We want a thriving prayer life. But where do we start? What do we say? Our prayer lives feel rote and dry! We wish someone would teach us to pray. Good news! Jesus gave us the model to experience an enriching prayer life in Scripture! The Lord’s prayer has 6 petitions (3 God-centered petitions followed by 3 need-centered petitions), and these can serve as a framework for our prayers. 13/05/2020 Duración: 18min

However, we realize that many of us are currently in a state of burnout! So then the question is: what practical steps can we take to overcome this state of chronic stress? In this short bonus episode, we discuss how incorporating rhythms of confession is important for all of us. If we’re in a state of burnout, we need to start by confessing that we’ve been living out of our own strength! Then we can take practical steps to respect God’s good limits for us. We need to intentionally yield to God’s design of tending to our physical needs, which means we need to consider the very real aspects of diet, exercise, and sleep. We pray this episode and its practical content is helpful to those currently in burnout.    Disclaimer: many symptoms of burnout mimic symptoms related to anxiety and depression. It is important to note that clinical anxiety and depression are

It can be described as feeling exhausted, stressed, overwhelmed, spent, and just plain done.
