And now these three remain: Faith, Hope and Love. But the greatest of these is Love. (1 Corinthians 13:13) We’re excited for this year’s Easter at Citizen Heights. The ‘Cross Equals Love’ message is more than just a hashtag – it’s the very heartbeat of faith in God.  We believe during this Easter season you, your family and many of our friends, neighbors and community will discover the reality of the greatest love.

Join us over the next few weeks as we declare a hope-filled posture and faith-filled demeanor.  In times like these, a declaration must be made. A declaration of dependence on God and one another. We the church are united. We the church are mindful of God’s purposes and promises.  We have one mind, one mission, one message and one heart-beat.We the church exist to love and lift people! We the church is not a building or a venue, or a Sunday obligation to tradition.  We the church is not limited or silenced by hardship in perilous times.  We are God’s family, and we have God’s creative insights, ideas and heart to selflessly serve, reconcile and encourage. WE THE CHURCH IN ORDER TO FORM A MORE PERFECT UNION and an expression of UNCOMMON HOPE AND UNEXPECTED LOVE … NOW STAND TOGETHER.  WE THE CHURCH TAKE OUR PLACE … TO TRUST GOD, SERVE PEOPLE AND PRAY IN FAITH .  WE HIS HANDS.WE HIS HEART.WE THE CHURCH.

“Then there was a sound…” is a phrase we see repeated in the Bible in key moments when God was about to move in a miraculous way. Your miracle in 2020 is not in what you lost, or never had. Your miracle is in what you have left, that you’ve placed in God’s hands. Throughout the Bible we see people in desperate, broken moments, sometimes facing impossible odds. And, in those moments, THERE WAS A SOUND announcing the tide was about to turn, and God was about to move. No matter your valley, no matter your enemy, no matter your battle, … if you're listening, you’ll hear a new anthem for a new year and a renewed  vision.

"Behold, to the Lord your God BELONG heaven and the heaven of heavens, the earth with all that is in it.” Deut 10:14 (ESV)It’s time to reaffirm everything in this world, and in my lfie, ultimately belongs to God.  My worship, my job, my marriage, my children, my finances, even my failures, cares and problems; are all in God's hands. And, if it BELONGS to Him, I’m inviting His help and blessing in 2020. In this series, we’ll be learning powerful principles for God's blessing to bring increase to your life this year, and this decade! 

SELAH SUNDAY is a Sunday to hit the pause button … before pushing forward into 2020. It’s a Sunday to reflect and to inspire hope in how good God’s been in battles you fought, battles you won, truths you learned, grace you received, provision God made … a moment for you to hit the pause button, and reflect on the work God did in your life in 2019.

Christmas is the wonderful celebration of God’s promise of hope and peace. And, it came to the most unexpected place and in the most unexpected form. The prophets past declared our hope would be found in Jesus; the Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Prince of Peace, Lord of Lords and King of Kings. Yes! The king of an everlasting, never-ending kingdom. BORN IS THE KING!Join us this Christmas Season, as we celebrate the God who loves us, is the King who lived among us and is Emanuel still with us.
