In episode 2 of the series, we are going to take a look at Joseph's story. The Christmas season can be very complicated. There is shopping, cooking, and baking. There is putting up the tree, decorating the tree, putting up lights, and all the other decorations. Then wrapping the presents and that can be very complicated- especially if you are me. Then there are family gatherings and people coming to visit. It’s very busy and complicated. The first Christmas was complicated as well. A lot was going on during that first Christmas season. Over the next few weeks, we are going to dive into this first Christmas and look at some of the complicated moments. I also believe that we will discover some things that we can learn as well. Over the last month or so, I have been hearing a song on the radio called “Jericho”. There is a line in the song that stood out to me. The whole song is good don’t get me wrong. When I think about campfire conversations, I am taken back to my time in youth group and when we went on retreats and to camp. There was always a night when we would sit around the campfire and share stories of how God is working in our lives and offer words of encouragement. What is the purpose of an anchor?

Are you tired? Worn out? I don’t know about you, but I am worn out. I am just very tired and drained. But not in the way you might think. I am just worn out and tired from all of the noise of politics and COVID-19.

This season of life that we are all in at this time has gotten a lot of people to wonder and ask "when are things going to go back to normal?" But, we are heading for a new normal. God is showing us something new. God wants us to be better after! Let's explore together in this series called "after".
