Deborah Pfingston shares of her loss.  She lost her son, Andrew Sterling Ashcraft, on June 30th, 2013.  He was a wildland firefighter and lost his life along with the crew of the Granite Mountain Hotshots.  It was a very public loss.  But that is not what she shares here.  Deborah shares a short story when her faith was put to the ultimate test.  Is heaven for real?   Deborah's story was part of a video series done by Melodee Tonti - https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=DVM94otG0D0&feature=youtu.be.  Please take the 20 minutes to watch.  This video is beautifully done and you will understand more of what a parent deals with when they lose a child. Janelle Snyder has had her share of heart pain.  She only got to know her first child, Lincoln Everett, in the womb; he was quiet and stubborn  A mother should never have to hold her child just to say, 'Good-bye.'  Yet, how could this happen to a mother again; Liam Marshall was only in her arms for several weeks.  All Janelle ever wanted to be was a Mom.  Listen and hear how she found a place for what she was feeling.  That if her hands and arms could not wrap around her boys she would have them do something.  Listen and meet her boys.   Janelle's knows that, "Others have been there and survived." A warrior in his own right Charlie Koon lost his daughter Jessica Nicole Koon to domestic violence.  How do you survive hearing your daughter was murdered?  Listen to Charlie and his powerfully tender story.  A Vietnam veteran he lost his ability to cry; when he lost his brothers in the Mayaguez incident (Knife 13) he never thought he would feel again. Jaye Lene Long lost two sons, her story is moving.  Her boys - men - were Travis and Brandon Selinsky (twins).  Both were in the Army, both loved God, country and family.  Jaye Lene experienced, "Groaning from the depths of my soul" twice.  She holds to Romans 8:28 'We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose' & Jeremiah 29:11 'For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'  Death of children puts your faith to the test.  Listen to Jaye Lene's path. In Episode Six, Deborah heads over to Hold Fast.  Tony gets a diamond tattoo.  This tattoo has a lot of meaning.  First, Tony lives in Diamond Valley, Arizona.  Second, Andrew - Deborah's son, had a diamond tattoo because he grew up in Diamond Valley, Arizona.
