While  in seminary, Fr. Mitchell, LC,  encountered a season of doubt. In God's divine mystery, a copy of St. Faustina's diary was left at his door. Thus began a path for Fr. Mitchell path that has lead to continually discovering the richness of Divine Mercy. An apostle of Mercy is more than carrying an image of the Divine Mercy or reciting the chaplet of Divine  Mercy. Joining us today Jennifer Ristine, consecrated lay woman with Regnum Christi.  Jennifer is the author of the book, Mary Magdalene: Insights from Ancient Magdala.  When Jennifer's mother passed away,  Mary Magdalene began to befriend Jennifer.  Surrendering fleeting securities, Jennifer looked to Mary Magdalene as a woman who could help her purify her heart. Mary Magdalene had traveled this path in her own life.  As Jennifer prayed for Mary Magdalene's intercessory aid,  she began to understand deeper redemptive love. The big surprise and gift came when Jennifer was assigned to a mission in Magdala.  In those four years, the heart of Mary Magdalene became even more evident.  Jennifer helps us, the modern woman, to learn from Mary Magdalene's journey as it is ours, too.And~  listen for the surprising Easter tradition associated with Mary Magdalene that is celebrated in the Eastern church. He didn't start baking until he entered the Capuchin Friary.  And now Brother Andrew Corriente is the champion of  the Great American Baking Show - Holiday Edition.  Brother Andrew is a delight and filled with joy.  There are metaphors of baking with the spiritual life. Dawn Aitchison is a wife and mom to NINE children.  Amid this busy life, she followed God's call to organize and take high school teens and young adults on mission trips to Nicaragua!  The mission work varies from building houses to churches.  It doesn't end with the good works. Dawn encourages  these kids to look at the poor and the service through the heart of Christ and the Catholic faith. Accompanying the kids to talk about what they feel from the experience of working with the poor. Linda Heinrich felt a tug on her heart as she would pass a Catholic church as a child. It wasn't until the death of her parents, job loss, and prolonged unemployment when she realized why.  While listening to Iowa Catholic radio in her car, the Mass began. She was completely immersed in the Mass she lost track of where she was driving.  Her heart was captivated by the Holy Spirit. Rob Kaczmark shares his delightful journey of faith. You all are great!  You texted your favorite traditions  Many around favorite foods which the smells, tastes, and family gathering are ways to bring us together.  Some of you reach out to help someone in need in very clever ways!  And those traditions that when you share around the family your love and appreciation for each other.Gosia Wheeler share traditions for her native Poland.  The oplatek wafer is a long tradtion in the Polish celebration of Christmas Eve. It is a thin wafer made from unleavened bread with pressed images of angels, the Blessed Mother, or Jesus. It is blessed by the priest on the first Sunday of Advent. It is an Eucharisitic represenation of Mass and reminder that Christmas is celebrating the birth of Jesus.  The father begins by breaking off a piece and handing the oplatek to his wife.
