QUESTIONS JESUS ASKED“What is Your Name?” – Mark 5:1-20Apart from Jesus, we cannot know our true identity - what we were made for.  One way to make sure you’re finding your identity in Jesus is to be aware of the things that keep that from happening. The Bible tells us that we have an enemy (Satan) and he “comes only to steal and kill and destroy.” Satan wants to steal our joy, kill the good thing God is doing in us, and ultimately destroy us. How does he do that? He tries to confuse our identity.Your true identity is not found in a lie, but in what God has done for you. If you have received Jesus as your Lord and Savior…You are lovedYou are chosenYou are forgivenYou are redeemedYou are adoptedSatan declares war on our identity because he knows it is the surest way to wreck the relationship between us and God. Did Jesus have a perfect family?"While Jesus was still talking to the crowd, his mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to him. Someone told him, “Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to you.” He replied to him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” Pointing to his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers. Why do you worry?Whether we call it concern, worry, fear, or full-blown anxiety, none of us knows what the future holds. And there are question marks in all of our lives. But there's a difference between not knowing the future and worrying about the future. It's the difference between living in peace and contentment, or not. God wants us to live in peace, and you and I want to live in peace ourselves. So, in today's message we will discover how to transform our worries into peace.Matthew 6:25 –32 (NIV)1.  Who do You Say I Am? Matthew 16:13-19 “But what about you?” he asked. Who do you say I am?” Matthew 16:15 4 things we learn from Jesus’ response to Simon. 1. Knowing Jesus comes from a personal revelation (Matt 16:17a) 2. Knowing Jesus is not inherited or passed down. (Matt 16:17b) 3. Knowing Jesus reveals our true identity. (Matt 16:18) 4. Knowing Jesus allows us to be used in incredible ways.
