Max and Vince are back to start 2020 with a very special guest. Adama Diomande joins the guys in the second half of the podcast. Big announcement today from LAFC and MLS. The Black & Gold's home opener is confirmed. LAFC will host expansion side Inter Miami CF on March 1. Max and Vince give instant takes and talk about the early storylines ahead of the opener. Then the guys get you ready for Monday's Concacaf Champions League draw with a full mock draw. Max and Vince compile their bracket and break down the possible path to the trophy for LAFC and MLS.

The MLS offseason is in full swing. Max and Vince catch up on some of the news since the last podcast including MLS Cup, 2019 Expansion Draft, and more. The offseason arrived too soon. But despite the disappointment, Max & Vince are here to get you through it with great LAFC content. This week, we've got a really special episode. LAFC EVP & GM John Thorrington sat down for a "State of the Club" interview. John looks back on the season, shares some of his favorite moments, talks about strengthening the team for next season, and LAFC's first foray into the Concacaf Champions Leauge. It's a wide-ranging interview and John is very open and straightforward about the direction of the Club. It's a must-listen for Black & Gold fans. After that, Max & Vince give their takes on some of the things said during the State of the Club, most notably the upcoming MLS Expansion Draft and a look at the CCL. And finally, with heavy hearts, the guys give their MLS Cup picks.

As you can imagine, emotions were high, it was loud, there's some adult language, and did we mention it was loud. Maybe don't listen to this one on full blast. We're talking a different type of football this week. Walker welcomes Jennifer Matthews to The Locker Room. You may know Jennifer from SiriusXM talking fantasy football or her work on NFL Network as a sideline reporter or because her family can only be described as NFL royalty. Jennifer chats with Walker about growing up in an NFL family and with four brothers, playing sports, and how she got into broadcasting. Then Walker has to get her advice on his fantasy football team. He just pulled off a big trade, will Jennifer sign off on it and does Walker's team has what it takes to win it all? And finally, the two talk about Jennifer's travels and work away from football including her volunteer work in Congo, Uganda, South Africa, Mexico, and Haiti. Jennifer also describes her work with nonprofit organization Prison Fellowship, helping support families affected by incarceration across the country.

All eyes will be on Los Angeles this week. The 2019 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs have started in earnest and LAFC enters the fray against a familiar foe. On Thursday, the Galaxy comes to LA to face the Black & Gold at Banc of California Stadium (show starts at 7pm. get there early!) in a win or go home contest. Max & Vince are here to preview the match and tell you why this has all the makings of the biggest MLS match in Los Angeles history. But before we get to the game, the guys talk about some of the great events they were a part of to kick off LAFC's run to MLS Cup. LAFC and Carlos Vela finished the 2019 MLS regular season with style. Max and Vince were out at LAFC training to record their thoughts on the 3-1 win over the Colorado Rapids. The guys go over what it was like to cover history when Carlos Vela broke the single-season goal-scoring record, what 72-point record means in the grand scheme of MLS and the league's future, and some of the other impressive records LAFC set along the way - apologies, there was a slight technical difficulty in the audio. After the break, we go from looking back to looking forward. The guys give their thoughts on the new 2019 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs format. Is there a team LAFC would rather face? Max and Vince give their thoughts on that and tease some of the possible live events planned for the podcast in the coming weeks.

You'll have to forgive the guys for not podcasting lately, they were chasing a Supporters' Shield. Now that the first trophy in Club history is secure, Beita & Harv are back with Julio "El Chiva Mayor" Ramos. It's fitting in the first podcast since winning the Supporters' Shield that the guys speak with Julio, who was there the day the Club was announced. Julio talks about his love for LAFC and how football is more than just what happens on the pitch. The guys ask about the 3252 and how they came together to create the best atmosphere in MLS. The Supporters' Shield is Black & Gold. Max and Vince start the show with the chants of "Campeónes, Campeónes" from the LAFC locker room. There's no team better this MLS season than LAFC. The guys talk about how tense the match was and what a relief it was to finally celebrate. Max and Vince share their stories of being on the pitch and i the locker room afterward. And they even talk about the actual game at some point. After the Supporters' Sheild talk, just like the Black & Gold, the guys turn their attention to the next opponent. Max and Vince share what they expect on Sunday in Minnesota and look at the possible team and individual records that could fall in LAFC's last two matches.

The gang's all here. LAFC is back to full strength after the international window and the injury to Carlos Vela and the MVP podcast is here to break it all down. Max and Vince start with the 1-1 draw in Philadelphia. The match with the Union had playoff atmosphere written all over it. The two teams went toe-to-toe in front of a sellout crowd in Philly. While it was disappointing to only get a point, it was a great comeback for the Black & Gold despite missing seven players to international duty. We don't have to do this too often. The guys have to shake off the rust when it comes to breaking down a loss. But after a bit of the usual off-topic chatter, Max and Vince dive into the 2-0 loss against Minnesota United. Don't say "blueprint" around Vince because he has serious words everyone that thinks it's easy to do what the Loons did at Banc of California Stadium. Brian Rodriguez's first LAFC start is also put into focus. And credit where credit is due, Mason Toye scored two phenomenal goals. The guys give their take on the young USMNT U23 forward. After the break, its talk of what should be an international break for MLS. LAFC will be without seven players on international duty this week. It's been a few days and people can't stop talking about the derby between LAFC and the Galaxy. So Max and Vince are here to give their takes on what was probably one of the most electric regular-season matches in MLS history. There was an epic rock 'n' roll tifo with smoke and lights. There were four goals in the first 15 minutes. There was an MLS debut for Brian Rodríguez. And there was a huge response from LAFC to come back from a two-goal deficit. Unfortunately, the Black & Gold couldn't find the fourth goal but it was a result to take something from nonetheless.
