Wellness travel is a well known and popular category I’d venture to say most of us have heard of here. I was recently asked to speak to some middle school and high school kids about adversity I’d faced in my professional experience as a black woman. This week was a good one! I got into the ways I’ve been able to see myself grow. I think I was a pretty solid person before I got into travel, but I’ve been able to see how it has really helped me develop some of my character in really rich and beneficial ways. I’m more patient, have seen first hand how adaptable and flexible I can be when I need to be (not just when I want to be) and I’ve been able to hone in and fine tune my situational awareness. I’ve only gone two places this year and I’m still hella grateful about it. There’s a special kind of love and pride I feel for my creative younger family members. This week, I chat it up for my childhood money maker. Heads up, this week’s episode is part two of a longer conversation. Last week I had Dionne, a clinical research associate with years of molecular biology experience talk with me about the COVID-19 vaccine. We really get into a lot but overall, pt 1 does a great job of laying down the foundation of viruses and vaccines so this week’s convo will make more sense.
