  • 18. He Does Things Only a Spider Can

    10/07/2019 Duración: 01h59min

n this, their 18th episode, the guys take a quick trip down Streaming Lane. Kevin once again watches a movie that wouldn’t blow anyone away, Netflix’s The Perfection. Alex had Hulu this week and gave us a review of Colossal. Amazon Prime got the Pete treatment and he partook of the cinematic marvel that is Guardians (essentially the Russian knock off of the Avengers). Opie brings it back by giving an enjoyable recommendation in HBO’s Life of the Party.   With the pleasantries out of the way, the guys begin their real discussion: Spider-Man. They start by discussing their introduction to the character and then go through each of the previous cinematic iterations before settling on the latest offering - Spider-Man Far from Home. All in all, the reviews are positive with a few outliers here and there.   The guys end by going through some of the recent trailers, including Opie’s new soon-to-be favorite film, Charlie’s Angels. They also catch the trailer for Jumanji The Next Level and Mulan. Hopefully you enjoy th

  • 17. A-113

    03/07/2019 Duración: 02h18min

This week, the guys and special guest, Sam (AKA Alex's lady love), go all in on Pixar films. They begin with the new release, Toy Story 4, and stay remarkably spoiler free. This leads them, totally organically, to a discussion about their childhood toys. The second half of the show delves into the Pixar library and their thoughts on the various entries therein. They then finish it all of with a quick review of the new trailer for Onward, the next Pixar film.   Don't worry, they don't just burn the clock on rehashing the past, there's also the current streaming recommendations. Pete endured the live action Spawn film on Hulu, Alex enjoyed a fraction of The Predator on HBO, Opie found a hidden gem in Cop Car on Netflix, and Kevin actually watches the right service but goes against the grain and talks TV rather than movie with The Man in the High Castle. Enjoy!!   #disney #pixar #toystory #toystory4 #onward #80s #80stoys #transformers #gijoe #voltron #netflix #hulu #amazonprime #hbo #hbonow #hbogo #spawn #toddmc

  • Brad Loves Dinosaurs

    26/06/2019 Duración: 01h39min

This week, the guys have their first guest, Brad, to celebrate(?) the one year anniversary of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Alex takes the reigns and hosts the show this week. He does his best with what he’s given.   For reasons explained in the show, and inexplicable anywhere else, Brad tells us how the original Jurassic Park is his favorite movie of all time. The gang then proceeds to sing the praises of the franchise. Roughly 5 minutes later, after covering everything good, they go down their more traditional route of telling what was wrong with this epic saga. Enjoy!!   #jurassicpark #jurassicworld #lostworld #fallenkingdom #jeffgoldblum #dinosaurs #trex #velociraptor

  • What did I watch last week?

    19/06/2019 Duración: 02h03min

Gather round listeners, and hear the tales of the tales that we consumed so you don't have to. Kevin almost enjoys I Am Mother, Opie talks Murder Mystery, his review of Aladdin, and Too Funny to Fail. Pete spurs on a quick discussion about Godzilla King of All Monsters, The Crown and Jupiter Ascending, and Alex rounds us out with Train To Busan after some insight on his visit to E3. Superfight makes a triumphant second appearance for a little family game night action. Tomfoolery, shenanigans, and hijinx ensue. No ballyhoo though. As always this is a ballyhoo free zone. Enjoy! 12/06/2019 Duración: 02h05min

The fellas cover a little bit of everything in this episode: streaming picks, Godzilla, new Terminator: Dark Fate trailer, and some of the worst movies ever made. This one has a little bit of everything. Thanks for listening, enjoy! • Solo

    05/06/2019 Duración: 02h01min

Due to some scheduling conflicts, we couldn't record a new show this week. But we didn't want to leave a hole in your podcast hearts. Alex's disdain for Solo is real, deep, and often referenced. On Opie's previous podcast (Plan B with Opie) there was a whole episode on why.  Enjoy and follow us on social media: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/allpopnoculture/ Faceboook: https://www.facebook.com/apncpodcast Twitter: ‪@APNCPodcast‬ Website: http://www.allpopnoculture.com‪ Voicemail: (925) 400-8457‬

  • John Wick and What's New

    29/05/2019 Duración: 02h10min

This week, the guys kick the show off with their current watches on the popular streaming platforms, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, and HBO. Alex discusses You Were Never Really Here, Kevin covers Rim of the World, Opie talks about Barry, and Pete discusses animated selections Justice League: War and Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay. Have a listen and see which ones we loved and which ones we watched so you wouldn’t have to.    The second half of the show is dedicated to a little game called Super Fight and gives the guys an opportunity to let loose and show their maturity. That’s a joke. There’s none of that. • And Now Our Watch Has Ended

    22/05/2019 Duración: 01h42min

This week, the guys discuss the epic finale of Game of Thrones, Season 8, Episode 6 - The Iron Throne. They chat about the conclusion of The Stark Saga and what that means for Sansa, Arya, Bran, and Jon Snow. Of course there is talk of the rise and fall of The Mad Queen, Daenerys Targaryen. There is also talk of how Tyrion Lannister’s tale ends.   As this is the final episode of one of the most epic series of all time, the guys spend a little time talking about their thoughts on the series on the whole, some of their favorite moments and characters, and the larger fan response to these last few episodes. Also, with Thrones coming to an end, the guys chat about what’s coming up for the future of the show. Believe it or not, this show is NOT strictly a Game of Thrones podcast!   Enjoy and follow us on social media: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/allpopnoculture/ Faceboook: https://www.facebook.com/apncpodcast Twitter: ‪@APNCPodcast‬ Website: http://www.allpopnoculture.com‪ Voicemail: (925) 400-8457‬

  • Game Of Thrones didn't quite rock "The Bells"

    14/05/2019 Duración: 01h55min

This week, the guys discuss the most popular episode in the history of Game of Thrones, Season 8, Episode 5 - The Bells. They discuss the fan backlash and the rapid descent of the Mad Queen, Daenerys Targaryen, the unceremonious death of Jamie and Cersei Lannister, and the not quite epic Clegane Bowl.   But before they lift your spirits with the glowing review of The Bells, they will share equally glowing reviews of available offerings from the popular streaming providers, Hulu, Amazon Prime, HBO, and Netflix. Opie shares his feelings about the Ted Bundy biopic, “Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile.” Pete gives us the hard sell on “Action Point,” Kevin waxes poetic about “All That We Destroy,” and Alex revels in Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s “Skyscraper.”     Enjoy and follow us on social media Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/allpopnoculture/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/apncpodcast Twitter: @APNCPodcast Website: http://www.allpopnoculture.com Voicemail: (925) 400-8457
