You get something special this week: A slight peak behind the curtain. A portion of the begining of this episode are some preshow antics and the boys dicussing new format possibly. Let us know what you think of the ideas. The guys kick off the official show with some good stories. Pete shares a story about a trip to the local live theatre. If you participated in theatre at any point, you'll really dig this story. If you didn't, just treat it like your spouses Christmas party and laugh when everyone else laughs. It will be over soon... This week, Andrew talks about the classic film, The Hurt Locker. This leads to a quick discussion about how much he looks like Anthony Mackie. And, let's be honest, you've never seen them both in the same place at the same time, have you? Pete then takes the guys into the big talk of the day, The Batman. This week, the guys manage to keep it tight(ish). With Pete out, there's only Kevin and the Andy's to make this machine go. After last weeks marathon, the guys were happy to keep it tight. Andrew starts it off with a discussion that heavily centers on one if his favorite genre's, Anime. Of course he covers Attack on Titan, but he also covers what he does and doesn't love in the genre in general. It's a cool conversation for anyone that loves anime or might just have a passing interest, as there are a few core anime philosophies covered here. Andy then starts his portion off with a discussion of Dark Mirror which triggers Andrew's love for that show, too. We are really starting to get into the heart of who Andrew is, it seems... But back to Andy. He next talks about having watched some DCEU films which is never a good idea on this show. Kevin, having watched very little uses Andy's DCEU topic to discuss the latest reports coming from the Warner/Discovery merger and the plans for the future of the DCEU. While i

This week on the show, Pete kicks things off in the Wayback Machine by talking Ted Lasso. Andrew hasn’t watched it so Pete and Kevin took advantage of this chance to talk about Ted Lasso for an eternity. As per the usual, Ted Lasso talk leads to talk of Schitts Creek which Pete has, somehow, not watched. Pete then discusses the Adam Sandler classic Big Daddy.   Next up comes an impressive tangential spiral. Pete deftly (?) takes us a journey from Yellowstone to the 90’s Ice Cube/Omar Epps vehicle, Higher Learning. This obviously leads to talk of the 2010 film Country Strong. That’s right. Pete navigated from 90’s hip hop films to 2010 country music films. It makes perfect sense…   The guys take advantage of the fact that both Pete and Kevin watched Peacemaker to use that as a transition into what Kevin’s been watching. This week is eventful in so many ways. For the first time in a long time, both Andy and Andrew are present. And for another first time in a long time moment, Pete isn’t there to start the show. Sadly, he does show up, but the And(y)(rew)s stick around anyways.    It’s important to note that Kevin’s Zoom recording crashed several times during this episode so any bad cuts can be blamed on Zoom, not Kevin and Pete’s poor editing skills. There’s no LOST talk this week so the guys start off right away with the list of things they’ve watched. The list is relatively extensive and Pete gets in early enough to share his list A trend he will carry out throughout the episode, despite being given a specific window in which to share.   The second half of the show is dedicated to the career of beloved actor, Bruce Willis. The guys attempt to list off their favorite BW moments, as Pete interjects Bruce’s film credits just before anyone can list their own favorites. 94.The Oscars or Andrew Tolerates 2 Woke White Guys This week, the show kicks off with two jokes. Thanks to the magic of editing, we only subject you to one. And for that, I still apologize. That gets the guys into a very straight forward segment where the guys discuss the Oscars and make their picks for each category. Except they make it far too complicated and, much like Guy Fieri with flavor, they head off to Tangent Town.   Just for fun this week, Pete and Kevin somehow get incredibly woke and subject Andrew to their idiotic takes on the world. As always, Andrew is a true champ and doesn’t show just how disappointed he is in them as human beings. Also, Andy is out this week, so at least you now know this episode could have actually been longer…   In LOST talk this week, the guys cover the final 3 episodes, the 3 part season finale, of season 1 and give their thoughts on both those episodes and what they expect to see rolling into season 2. The guys roll straight from the pre-show into the show. You get some good comedy, then some podcast goodness, and then a trip down retro road to Smallville, Kansas. The guys then just jump into the madness with Pete rattling off the stuff on HBO Max that he loved. We get Pete to talk about Basketball, which is no small feat. As usual, that devolvs into a journey into the tangent-verse. Do you love James Spader? Apparently they do!   Kevin finishes playing Horizon Zero Dawn so no one has to hear about that again. He gives a breakdown of the first few episodes of Pieces of Her. He gets pulled into a tangent, too, but self corrects before it all unravels. He then jumps into The Adam Project and does his best to not spoil anything. You should be able to listen without fear.   Andrew goes big and reviews The Batman. Did he love it? Andy starts off with a discussion about Peacemaker and things seem to go well until Pete finds a list...and he drives to show into the wee dawn hours before Kevin can get going on LOST. Wow. Just Wow. Kevin, Andrew and Pete got a late start to recording this week and it shows. This ones a little more "all over the place" then usual.  We get the usual "what have you watched?" conversation, then Andrews regales Pete with tales of a New Edition/Jodeci/Charlie Wilson concert which has Kevin quietly staring at the screen for 30min. They close things out by covering 3 episodes of LOST this week. Strap in, wear a helmet and cup, and enjoy!

This week sees the guys once again swap Andrew for Andy. This means a little more anime talk, but that's not a bad thing! Andrew is very excited over a couple of Anime Award shows and their chosen winners.    Once he's done, Pete takes over the show. And I mean TAKES OVER. In one week he seems to have watched everything under the sun, but he REALLY wants to tell you about Jackass Forever. And he does.   Once Pete finally runs out of breath, Kevin jumps in and talks about Reacher (which he had to steal from Pete as a topic!!) and also the newly released The Woman in the House Across the Street From the Girl in the Window.    Once again the he guys have a lot of fun and watch a whole boatload of stuff, so drop in and listen and have a good time! It's a new episode and a new configuration of guests. Ok, so it's just fewer of the same guests. This week it's Pete, Kevin, and Andrew. The guys discuss all of their current watch lists, some new stuff and then some old.   The usual Heinz is had at the begining and after the LOST talk, we turn the talk to getting to know Andrew's journey into pop culture. We got the message last week. Pete and Kevin just aren’t enough to satisfy your nerd lust so we invited the Andy’s back for your enjoyment. This week the guys go over what they’ve been watching, some new, mostly old, but all different.    After getting through this bit, an APNC miracle happens. Kevin has found 3 people who have never seen LOST and committed them to the long game of watching LOST at the pace of two episodes a week. We’ll try to discuss the show as close to weekly as possible with the guys forced to wait between episodes like the rest of the world did when the show originally aired.   After the LOST talk, the guys jump into a brand new bargain trivia game. It’s definitely an experience. Who won? Well, there’s a 66% chance it’s an Andy… But you know who didn’t lose? Alex. It's Kevin and Pete, and only/just Kevin and Pete. They talk some current watches and then look at what should be big in 2022. With just 2 of them, you figure they'd be able to stay on track and hold it all together...who are we kidding, no one actually thinks that. Enjoy!

After a long hiatus, Pete and Kevin are back, with not one, but two dudes named Andrew. They talk current streams, Spiderman, and (drum roll please) MCU vs. DCEU. Its been a while since we've gone this far off the rails, so excuse us, and enjoy.

This week the guys invite another of Pete’s friends to show, Andrew. Andrew is FAR classier than the current roster of guys. Does this make things awkward? Naw, the guys job stay utterly classless and Andrew is just pulled down the he river of stupid in his class canoe. But he takes it like an absolute champ!   This week’s episode isn’t as long as the last one, but it’s pretty damn close… What do the guys talk about out? Well, far more than they intended, to be sure. This episode is an impressive array of tangent management. The guys go through the “what we’ve watched” and cover content like What If…? And Ted Lasso. There’s some other good stuff in there, too.   In the 2nd half (which is actually 2/3) the guys discuss what is coming down the pipe for the theatrical experience over the next year+. After a week the boys get together and let it all hang out. The show goes off the rails early on, but the train keeps on rolling! Stop reading this and start listening!

This week, the guys deliver unto thine ears, what is probably the shortest episode in the history of APNC. How did they do that, you ask? They sent David on a fetch quest to Colorado.    This doesn’t mean there was a lack of content this week. Funny enough, the guys generally just watched the same things. They talk a bit about Ted Lasso and Shimgadoon and Kevin ends the show with talk of the last 2 Connery Bond films and a spin of the wheel.   But between those sexy slices of bread is the real meat of this episode. The guys discuss The Suicide Squad (2021) and Charlie’s Angels (2019). I’m sure you can’t decide which you are more excited for, but let me tell you… it’s probably neither.    As you power down this snack sized meat sandwich of nonsense, remind yourself to like and subscribe.
