“कारण यह है कि परमेश्‍वर के विषय में जो कुछ जाना जा सकता है, वह उन पर प्रकट है; स्‍वयं परमेश्‍वर ने उसे उन पर प्रकट किया है। संसार की सृष्‍टि के समय से ही परमेश्‍वर के अदृश्‍य स्‍वरूप को, अर्थात् उसकी शाश्‍वत शक्‍तिमत्ता और उसके ईश्‍वरत्‍व को, बुद्धि की आँखों द्वारा उसके कार्यों में देखा जा सकता है। इसलिए वे अपने आचरण की सफाई देने में असमर्थ हैं; क्‍योंकि उन्‍होंने परमेश्‍वर को जानते हुए भी उसे परमेश्‍वर के रूप में समुचित आदर और धन्‍यवाद नहीं दिया। उनका समस्‍त चिन्‍तन व्‍यर्थ चला गया और उनका विवेकहीन मन अन्‍धकारमय हो गया। वे अपने को बुद्धिमान समझते हैं, किन्‍तु वे मूर्ख बन गये हैं। उन्‍होंने अनश्‍वर परमेश्‍वर की महिमा के बदले नश्‍वर मनुष्‍य, पक्षियों, पशुओं तथा सर्पों की अनुकृतियों की शरण ली। इसलिए परमेश्‍वर ने उन्‍हें उनके मन की दुर्वासनाओं के अनुसार दुराचरण का शिकार होने दिया और वे एक-दूसरे के शरीर को अपवित्र करते हैं। उन्‍होंने परमेश्‍वर के सत्‍य के स्‍थान पर झूठ को अपनाया और सृष्‍ट वस्‍तुओं की उपासना और आराधना की, किन्‍तु उस सृष्‍टिकर्ता की नहीं, जो युगों-युगों तक धन्‍य है। आमेन!” ‭‭
