Sinopsis

Today marks the beginning of Black History Month, and MIP will be honoring this month with daily conversations with Anthony T. Browder, author, publisher, cultural historian, artist, and educational consultant. Anthony is also the founder and director of IKG Cultural Resources and has devoted 43 years researching ancient Egyptian history, science, philosophy and culture, which is where today’s discussion begins. After the discussion with Anthony, you’ll hear from Congressman Ro Khanna, who represents Silicon Valley, but he’s recently published a book titled “Dignity in a Digital Age: Making Tech Work for All of us.” Rep. Khanna brings us into this discussion by uplifting some key issues: unequal access to technology is disproportionately affecting Black and Brown communities, wealth is concentrated into too few hands, and too many digital jobs are hoarded in selective tech hubs – and all three of these issues result in problems for our democracy.
