NP ALL LIT #7 features readings, poetry, and prose from: Lupe Mendez - author of WHY I AM LIKE TEQUILA (Willow Books, 2019), winner of the 2019 John A. Robertson Award for Best First Book of Poetry from the Texas Institute of Letters. He is the founder of Tintero Projects which works with emerging Latinx writers and other writers of color within the Texas Gulf Coast Region, with Houston as its hub. Maria Miranda Maloney - a Latina poet, editor, and bilingual publisher. She was born in El Paso, Texas, and raised in a small farm community of mostly immigrant families. Her family's outings consisted of crossing the U.S-Mexico border every Sunday to visit family in Zaragoza, a town outside Cd. Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico. She learned to navigate two different worlds, including language and traditions. Carolina Monsiváis - author of Somewhere Between Houston and El Paso, Elisa’s Hunger, and Descent. A dedicated advocate in the field of domestic violence and sexual assault, she has worked with survivors in Texas
