2000 years ago, the King of Kings was born in Bethlehem. It was the most important birth in the entirety of mankind. And nobody noticed. There was no fanfare of trumpets, no parades. But in a field nearby where shepherds were watching their sheep, angels appeared with a proclamation and a song: “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!” (Luke 2:14, ESV).
