The Christmas season is about God’s King, come to earth to rescue his people and redeem his creation. It’s a story that is foretold, among other places, in Israel’s prayer book: the Psalms. Woven throughout this prayer book is the story of the coming King, the Messiah, whom God has appointed over against the kings of this earth.
