The Malliard Report podcast is proud to welcome Professor Sheldon Krimsky to discuss ethical problems in medicine. Professor Krimsky is a professor of urban and environmental policy and planning, adjunct professor of public health and family medicine, and professor of philosophy at Tufts University. He is also the author of several books on ethical issues in medicine, including “The Ethics of Genetic Screening” and “Regulating Science: The Sociology of Science and the Regulation of Genetic Engineering.” On the podcast, Professor Krimsky will discuss the ethical issues related to genetic screening, biomedical and behavioral research, and the regulation of genetic engineering. He will be exploring the ethical implications of using genetic testing to identify high-risk individuals, the ethical implications of using genetic engineering to modify the genome of humans, and the ethical issues associated with conducting clinical trials on humans.
