Sinopsis

Listen here as Mike Felger sits down with the authors of ``Survival of the Fastest: Weed, Speed and the 1980's Drug Scandal That Shocked the Sports World.'' It's the crazy story of Randy Lanier, the 1986 Indianapolis 500 rookie of the year and former Camel Series national champion. At the very time Lanier was at the height of his racing powers, he was also one of the biggest marajuana smugglers in the U.S, shipping hundreds of thousands of pounds of cannabis from Columbia to American ports in between his racing schedule. Lanier was ultimately indicted and sentenced to life in federal prison. He was granted parole after 27 and lives to tell his story today. The book is set to be a major motion picture. Here is Felger's conversation with Lanier and co-author A.J. Baime.A link for the book:https://www.amazon.com/Survival-Fastest-Scandal-Shocked-Sports/dp/0306826453CONNECT WITH FELGER & MAZZ https://www.instagram.com/felgerandmassarotti https://twitter.com/FelgerAndMazz https://www.facebook.com/felgerandmassa
