THE LAST GOSPEL, John's Gospel of Belief, Part 22 - "Christ's Pastoral Prayer"

Informações:

Sinopsis

John’s Gospel was the last of the four to be written. According to tradition, the Gospel of Matthew, Mark and Luke were in wide circulation by early A.D. 63 and after John had been released from his banishment to Patmos around A.D. 65 he was urged by one of the other surviving apostles, Andrew, to write his Gospel account. For this reason, John’s Gospel does not reiterate most of what Matthew, Mark, and Luke had already written in their Gospels. Instead, John wrote a powerful apologetic for the identity of Jesus as the eternal Son of God who was equal to and submitted to the eternal Father. He does this by offering seven proofs for Christ’s deity as presented in each of the miraculous signs he lists. He then concludes by stating these signs have been presented so that the reader would believe.
