Back in November 1966, four young adults were out late one night, driving through a vast stretch of wetlands on the outskirts of their quiet West Virginian hometown, when they were apparently terrorized by a strange, winged humanoid creature.  Their story would mark the beginning of one of the United States' most enduring cryptid mythologies.
