The truth is, a recent academic study revealed that the top 35 worship songs sung in churches around the globe are directly traceable to only four church groups (Bethel, Hillsong, Elevation, and Passion) and a handful of other artists. This means that a tiny minority of churches are shaping the worship vocabulary, theology, and liturgical methods of millions of churches around the globe. Is that a problem? It depends.
